Friendly family-run cafe beside the river at St Mullins - provides welcome respite & tasty freshly-made snack refreshments after a walk along the river towpath - both recommended as a nice way to spend a day. Caution - restricted opening times off-season.

A delightful location in a converted mill by the river this cafe offers not only tables with a view but also a fine selection of food. A fine dining experience indeed.

He I had the occasion to be in St. Mullins on Saturday morning with the rowing club so I had the chance to eat here. Really nice atmosphere and really good value for food. Bacon role and tea or coffee for five euros and it was a fine size role, also delicious. Friendly staff also love fire going as well,... More

Can recommend Mullichain Cafe for breakfast, lunch or dinner, even just a takeaway tea/ coffee, a little of the beaten track, but well worth the trip, superb views and walks along the Barrow, super food, friendly and helpful staff, cant recommend enough.

Yes, it's off the beaten track but word seems to have spread about this special place. What a setting on the banks of the River Barrow with a beautiful walk towards Graiguemanagh to be enjoyed also. The cafe is in an old restored Odlum's mill which gives it an atmosphere to begin with ...... and then there is the food... More

We stayed in cottages attached to this restaurant which we loved. Only ate here once, for brunch, had coffee and cake which was delicious, fair price. We did think the menu a little expensive. Staff are a delight. We loved it!

We wouldn't have found this if we didn't trust our sat-nav bringing us down what looked like a road into a river! A MUST visit for a coffee & the best of cafe food in the most unlikely of places. A real pleasure to visit and chat, made feel genuinely welcome. Such a special place along the river. Don't miss... More
