We booked up in advance for our Saturday evening meal and it was a good job we did, the Hero is as popular as ever. The food and service was great, we'll be coming back again soon. Only comment would be its time to expand...More

The staff were very helpful, clearing a table for us. The barman gave me a sample of the beer which is always a good sign. Food was excellent,my cockles mariniere were full of flavour. A walk down to the harbour completed a lovely Sunday lunch.

There are some good real ales, an extensive wine list which isn't overpriced and an interesting menu. The monkfish kebabs were delicious and the rump steak was perfectly cooked. The bar and dining room are charming and the staff friendly and helpful.

Visited with friends for lunch, beer and a few snacks. The beer and service were great but @ £3.75 for a "mug" of chips, it was frankly ridiculous. No other complaints, it's a busy spacious pub with grub

A lovely pub, staff can't do enough for you, food and beer excellent, prices comparable for the area. Dog and child friendly, if you're in the vicinity definitely call in.

Good food, gastropub surroundings very pleasant and nice serving staff. We all had the belly pork starter, black pudding, celeriac puree and blackberry starter - what a combination - not bad but salty, not enough celeriac and very cold blackberries so good idea but not perfect....More

Really good food since new ownership. Some starters rather small. Friendly service and nice ambiance with area for children inside next to large family table. Booking essential

Stopped in for lunch feeling very hungry and rather tired. Received a very warm welcome in a lovely atmosphere. Decided on comfort food of soup- and one of the most exceptional home made bowls arrived - fabulous!

Had a good meal here but the menu was a bit limited with not a wide selection. Nice place and decent service. I had a Thai spiced broth with scallops, mange tout and noodles which I really enjoyed and my rump steak was cooked as...More

I have no idea of whom you are asking this question or what you have to do with the Hero, but if you can't do an adult post you don't deserve an answer!
