Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I found Runwayskiln by accident when I decided to visit Marloes beach after going on a Skomer boat trip. I was hungry and didn't think I would find anything to eat down there. What a fantastic surprise! Not just a café, but quality food and...coffee. I had a delicious halloumi panini and a latte. The staff were super friendly and cheerful. Couldn't fault it in any way.More

I too enjoyed the amazing chowder, and the rest of the walking group with me were equally impressed with the offerings at this wonderful gem. The staff seem to operate seamlessly together, always a smile and friendly word. They are a shining example of what...a cafe/restaurant should be like in a very rural setting. Well done to all.More

Runwayskiln is a fabulous place. This little gem serves the most delicious cakes, variety of coffees and teas, together with equally delicious lunches. We had smoked haddock chowder which has to have been the best we had ever eaten. And all this served by delightful...staff, so friendly and welcoming. It's the sort of place you wish you could pick up and take home with you. Please make certain to visit if visiting Marloes, a place of equally fabulous beaches.More

Fabulous birthday lunch, excellent food and attentive service. Baby and toddler also catered for. As usual Chef Charlie surpassed himself and the lovely Tom helped make my celebration lunch special.

We manged to get a table at short notice on Sunday, which was a great treat. The fish soup was absolutely delicious. We ever went back later for tea and cake - absolutely delightful, with cardamom and rose. Wonderful location overlooking the sea.

Best haddock chowder ever! And the chips of the style we hadn't seen since Corsica in 2018. Second time here in 3 weeks, worth the 2.5 hour drive for just the best food. Such warm and friendly staff, superb atmosphere and the most incredible food!...Make a special trip, but best to book first....very popular and no wonder! See you again soon! XXXMore

Runwayskiln is a must! Called in for lunch before a walk with our lab on Marloes Sands and had the best ever smoked haddock chowder! Staff were friendly and service was quick. Highly recommended

This restaurant was recommended in the visitors notes at the Saint brides Castle. This is a café near to a famous beach. The inside is quite plain but is cosy . It is a long way from the main road. There is only parking in the...National Trust car park. It I a short menu. Sec code the Haddock Chowder. We were not disappointed as it was excellent. It is a shame you don’t see this dish on hardly any restaurant menu. The wine list is very limited comprising one white, one red, and one Rosie. We had the white which was French and less than £20. Heard about this place by word of mouth and as it was only about 10 minutes from where we were holidaying, we decided to pay a visit. Lovely quirky place surrounded by sea and countryside with plenty of outdoor seating with great views. Our food...came really quickly and some of the best fish and chips we'd had in a very long time. Waiting staff were quick to bring our order and really friendly. A nice offering of drinks including some local real ales which my husband appreciated. I just wished we lived nearer so we could make this a regular haunt. We now regret we didn't buy some cake to take away as it looking amazing. A few points to note - check the cafes website/Facebook page carefully for opening hours - sometimes both the cafe and kiosk are open but sometimes just the kiosk which has a more limited offering. Parking is a short walk away in a free National Trust Car Park but if you are a blue badge holder you can drive down to the track to the cafe and just past the cafe, on the left, are a couple of blue badge allocated spaces.More
