Have always had a great time and food at Maffias. Chris and the team are great. Last Saturday night my Dad came over from Ireland and all my sisters from around Europe to celebrate his 90th birthday. He was made feel so Special. The food...was wonderful. The staff were brilliant. George is just incredible. She welcomed everyone and was so pleasant and such fun. We were strangers to the area looking for something to eat for lunch on a Sunday. Stopped on the off chance and made to feel very welcome. Food was fresh and delicious starters were smoked salmon and crab, both tasty and nicely served. For mains...we had one skate wing and one roast pork. All served hot and tasted wonderful, served with plenty of salad for the fish and fresh veggies for the roast. Happy to recommend and if we are in the area again will definitely be back. Me, my husband and our 5 year old found this restaurant while spending a couple of nights in Holland-on-Sea. We loved it, such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and staff were great. They welcomed children, and even gave our daughter a balloon. It felt like...we were in a restaurant abroad. The service was quick and the food was delicious. We had a really lovely evening and will definitely go back if we visit here again.More

We booked the whole place for our daughters 30th birthday on bank holiday Monday, food was fantastic and the staff brilliant nothing was to much we was all made to feel welcome and looked after thanks Chris and team for a fab day

I came here this evening with my mum and the staff are really friendly and funny! They were so welcoming, the place had a lovely atmosphere and looks lovely. The food was gorgeous, I had the chicken and my mum had the pork and the...amount of food was very generous, I couldn’t even finish it all. Highly recommend this place.More

Service-less than par. Waitresses shouting across restaurant 'did people want more courses' All pals together sort of thing. Professionilism lacking. Food in my opinion wasn't too bad but partner said wouldnt go again,quality-presentation less than a cheap cafe.

I have never been so insulted in my life!!!!! Being spoken to in front of a restaurant of diners so rudely and ruining my Mums 70th birthday celebrations. The owner drinking all afternoon giving her a snotty attitude towards us. Clearly not fit to run...a restaurant if you can't divide a bill for 12 people and then have the audacity to blame us. Thanks for that won't be returning or recommending. You get a better service at McDonald's.More

The food and the staff were lovely, a lovely afternoon was had with family until the owner approached the table complaining that she had lost out because 2 people hadnt turned up (out of our control) and that 2 people only had small meals. This...was said infront of the entire table, we were absolutely gobsmacked. Unfortunately she has now lost several loyal customers who had been visiting for many years. Feel for the staff.More

birthday treat. I would have ignored the over cooked steak if the owner had manners ! I did think it would be a bit up market , but that was only the prices . One of my dining companions complained about his meal tasting off.... Only vegetarian option on the menu . She told him he was wrong and it had been cooked this week . This was Saturday . Nothing itemised on the bill , so couldn't check what we were charged for . I could hardly believe she was the owner . She should be embarrassed by the way she speaks to her customers . I will never eat there again .More
