Popped in for a drink whilst moored up on the canal. The two of us had a very pleasant evening chatting along with Martin. The pub has a range of guest cask ales and indoors is much better than its photos suggest.

Martin the landlord recognised me after my last visit 4 years previously and even remembered our chat about a car I'd bought. The Sunday lunch was delicious and great value, just the right level of ambience and attention to make you feel really comfortable. A great atmosphere in a lovely location.

My Wife had homemade beef lasagne and I had gammon and chips. The food was hot and both were were good helpings.Having eaten here before and had the same... More

We hired a boat from the Maestermyn Marina so decided to eat at the on-site pub before picking up the boat. It's an old fashioned pub (which is a good thing), very clean and tidy with friendly, welcoming staff and a nice beer garden beside the canal. The menu was usual pub food at reasonable prices. Everything we had was... More

Went here by chance. They were happy for us to take our dog. My friend is diabetic and asked if they could weigh each part of her meal individually so she could work out her insulin. They were more than obliging. The young man was more than happy to get us phone number so we could book to go on... More

Smelt of chips as soon as we walked in, wine was warm, decor very dated. Where is Alex Polizzi? They need her help. Could be lovely, especially for boaters.

Popped in for lunch. We were met by a charming and very busy lady. She said we could bring our dogs in as long as they were not to noisy. We had a couple of drinks and lunch. As we walked in we could smell pie... (steak and ale) it tasted better than it smelt... and that was amazing. We... More

Planned birthday meal here as it wasn't far from caravan site, very dated inside but friendly welcome, dog friendly. Food was average, nothing to stand out. Place was very quiet and landlord kept talking to us whilst we were trying to eat.
