Have been coming here for years and always very happy. Recently came in for a quick bite before a cinema visit. Great atmosphere, fab menu with loads of choice and fabulous friendly staff.

After buying a pint and a drink for my girlfriend and myself we sat down at a table to enjoy our drinks in peace. The table wasn't reserved and there was another empty table nearby also unreserved yet a rude staff member told us we...had to move from the table (and stand up I guess) even though he admitted the table was not booked. The even ruder landlord said the same. As paying customers we are not putting up with this rudeness. Surely we can enjoy our drinks without feeling like we are in prison. T aking our custom elsewhere. AvoidMore
Staff were extremely pleasant, polite and courteous. The ‘special’ chicken and pancetta linguine was excellent value for money. Nice atmosphere.
My wife and me went for lunch, fantastic staff and fantastic food, thank you all very much for a wonderful experience! A1
We enjoyed a really lovely meal here, pleasant bar and waiting staff, good value for money and good service. Would definitely return.
Absolutely lovely pub. Popped in for a quick pint and was greeted with a very warm welcome. Busy pub with loads going on, always worth a visit
What a find this little gem was. Down the bottom end of town but eye catching when you walk up to it and extremely welcoming when you entered. Menu catering for all. We just wanted a small bit and can highly recommend the Parmesan Fries,...fully covered from top to bottom in Parmesan and the Aioli mayo side accompanying was perfect.More
We came here for Sky TV coverage of a particular football match. Staff happily put the game on for us and had a great night with a grest selection of beer. Comfy pub. Lively. Would recommend. Oh and Southampton won.
I had time to kill and was hungry, and desperately wanted to sit down. The little side garden is a total sun trap, and the staff were super helpful. Food arrived quick, and the portions were huge. Lots of cut chicken, thick granary bread, and...crisp but fluffy fries. The house Prosecco was nice too, really made the meal.More
Amazing ribs! Good service, typical lively sports-screen drinking hotspot but nice decor and great food.
Amazing staff and manager.Gorgeous garden and great selection of food and drinks. We arrived with a very tired dog I. A dog trolley they even helped us up the steps with her and made sure we were all happy
We always have great meals here when we visit from Plymouth. Ellie and the team are fantastic, always great service and she even gave us a Tarquins gin deck chair which I will include in the photos
We were very saddened to find out you won't be accepting any more large bookings on a Saturday? We as a group have been coming for years. We pre bookings if asked too and spend quite a bit of money over the bar!!!! We don't...expect waitress service. We would be interested to hear why you have made the decision to stop groups of 12. ThankyouMore
Hello and thank you for leaving your review. We haven’t stopped groups of any size on any day we just cannot allow large groups to reserve tables on Saturdays as it is just too busy. Sadly reserved signage on tables is just removed by customers...More

We popped in with our 2 children whilst out shopping and the refurb is fab. We sat in the booth area so although rugby was playing on the screens we didn't have to watch it. The food was superb especially the pork belly with dip....Not too expensive and nice atmosphere.More
