We have visited Pantydderwen many times in the past, and have enjoyed meals here. However, we called for Sunday lunch on our way back from Llansteffan, and the restaurant/bar was very quiet. Our meal was disappointing - not very warm, the potatoes were not cooked thoroughly. Admittedly it was towards the end of lunchtime, but for the price, not good... More

We were staying in nearby Llanybri on holiday when we stumbled on this pub by seeing a board on the side of the road. On first entering we thought it was a bit dated but the food was lovely. It was Sunday lunch and we had a choice of turkey or beef. We both had the turkey and it was... More

Had an evening meal here. Not a great deal of choice and pricey for what was on offer. Each meal was about £3.00 overpriced. Fish and chips was poor and not well presented. The fish was small and it could well have come out of Birds Eye box. The batter was dark brown through being overcooked and the chips were... More

Back for third time this year. The dog friendly and food pleasure are a great combo. Our visitors loved the country pub atmosphere combined with excellent food, friendly service and great value. Coby our Chocolate Labrador loved it he made friends with two other pooches in the bar where dogs are welcome. Same menu as restaurant and always has a... More

I have eaten here a few times, and had a beautiful seabass a few months ago with lovely fresh veg and new potatoes. Ordered the same today and the fish was overcooked, the veg was soggy. When I asked for butter to put on my new potatoes I was presented with a small dish or margarine. Shame shame shame. I... More

Eaten here several times before and food is great. Disappointing today though. Checked both website and trip advisor both confirmed open for lunch. Got there 12:30 and closed.

Called in on Sunday afternoon for lunch as we had been before for a drink. The Sunday lunch was very poor, with just two small slices of gristly meat drizzled with a little gravy and a small amount of dull veg on a side plate. For £8.50 I expected quality, but it was a disappointment. My husband ordered scampi and... More
