I regularly frequent the Cellar Bar for Sunday lunch when I am in the Cookstown area. Having travelled extensively I can categorically state that this is by far the best Sunday lunch I have ever tasted; A carvery service, the portions are incredible, the staff are excellent and prices are reasonable. Top tip- Book early as this restaurant is extremely... More

Me and my wife went to your hotel for our wedding anniversary was very disappointing with the food. My wife went for spring rolls as a starter out came one spring roll for £6.95 I went for eel and all it came with was a piece of wheaten bread lettuce and two pieces of eel. We then got our main... Dear stephenmulholland75 On the 2 separate occasions within an 8 day period recently that we had the misfortune of you visiting the premises, you were drunk and abusive to the managers and staff on duty who were trying to deal with what could only be described as scurrilous complaints in the first instance. We have a zero tolerance of physical... More

Staying at the Glenavon for a wedding and due to the weather conditions decided to dine at The Celler Bar & Restaurant. Excellent setting and reminiscent of old world charm decor. Excellent friendly and attentive staff, prompt service and meals served piping hot. Adjourned to the bar after dinner and partied on. Great atmosphere and no lessening of excellent service... More

The staff where great (Michelle - very helpful and made us laugh, Pauline - very friendly, and I think her name was Dan again very friendly). We went for the four courses I had the duck spring rolls for starters which where... More

Decor means there is no atmosphere - like eating in a cafe. No lounge area in the hotel or cosy seating area for lunch.

Dear Fantasyart, The partitions and iron work in the restaurant are to break up a large room and afford our diners some privacy – while I appreciate it is a matter of taste, they are something which normally attracts compliments rather than complaints. The lounge is located on the right hand side when you enter the bar area and seats... More

The food in the Cellar bar is tasty. Good menu selection, plenty of options to choose from. The steak is by far the best option as it comes with an excellent variety of sides. Service is good, staff are friendly, food is served at a speed you would want. Price is fair for what you are getting.

Called one Saturday night in Sept without booking & was surprised to see how busy the restaurant was. They managed to give us a table for four.
