If it's good old Mr Average grub that your after then look no further, Catherine had a turkey and ham pie and I had the all day fry (because I could ) anyway it was good not brilliant but good same as you would cook yourself, and it wasn't expensive so it's worth a try

Reviewing this on behalf of my Nanny who was here on thursday 9th February 2017 for a family brithday meal. Party was sat in the conservatory where there was no heating on. My Nanny amongst other members of the family had to eat their tea with their coats and scarves on. Several attempts at telling the staff that it was... More

This is a classic at the base of the knockagh with great views of belfast lough. Has a picturesque sun room but avoid if sunny as its like a greenhouse. Menu hasn't changed much in the years. The restaurant had a make under tho. Strangely the pub bit now seems more posh lol. But its nice. I prefer the pub... More

Visited here for the carvery (29/1). The building and decor itself is showing age, but is kept clean and tidy, lady on reception was polite and smiling, got to the carvery room, staff where very friendly, and explained the procedure. Starters are laid out in buffet style, egg mayo, melon, salad coleslaw, potato salad, hot starters. Eggs were well cooked, no greying, prawn... More

Having visited Knockagh Lodge many times and finding the food to be very good quality & well presented with friendly helpful waiting staff, we decided to bring my daughter's boyfriend along as he had never been before. I have to say on this occasion we were initially very disappointed by the 'dead area' of so called reception area which is... More

We visited over Christmas for Lunch as we hadn't been in years. We had heard there was a new menu and decided to give it a try. On entering the premises, it was so dreary and uninviting. Shutters pulled down in reception area and not a sinner around. We walked round and got a table in the conservatory. The view... More

This hotel adjoins an old people's home and there is a smell of over boiled food on the air. Not a sophisticated place by any stretch of the imagination. Basic, ordinary and old fashioned food.

Won't be back next year. Booked last number of years but this will be the last. Squashed like hens in a hen house. No room at the table. Food not great cheese cake slapped on the plate like left overs. Heat in the place sicking and prices at the bar shocking. £4 for a jug of orange.
