Called for coffee with friends could not resist the delicious sausage rolls, although there was a good variety off tray bakes scones etc the sausages rolls hit the spot on a cold wet summers day in the Port. The coffee was very good and the staff even walked around the customers offering more!! Where else do you get treated like... More

Tried to book but was told fully booked but a walk in option available, arrived about 5.30 & only had to wait about 5 mins for a table. Restaurant packed & bustling, staff pleasant but rushed off their feet. The fast paced service made u feel like u also were in a hurry. Food was quickly served. Good sized portions... More

I visited here earlier in the week with my husband, sister and 2 teenagers. We had booked several weeks in advance and got a circular booth with beautiful sea views. The staff were pleasant and attentive and the food very enjoyable. It was great value only paying for the main course and the starter and sweet were free, or one... More

I was in the 'cafe' downstairs. I don't think it is well organised staff wise only 2 people taking orders taking money and making coffee and serving drinks which meant there was a large queue! I ordered a chicken ceaser salad there were 2 bits of chicken no Parmesan & 2 bits of toast on the top and it wasn't... More

Booked Friday 17th July, my first visit to 55 North. High expectation was quickly deflated on arrival....a glorified canteen on a great location, serving overpriced poor quality food.

We had a party of 6 people booked for dinner, book early in the evening to take advantage of their early bird 3 courses for price of main course offer. Excellent menu choices with good kids menu. Service is good, bar staff are really friendly.

The coffee is fairly good, the food is fairly good, the staff are lovely. However, I'll give 55 a very good as the coffee shop is just the nicest, most accommodating stops on the North-Coast. Couples, cyclists, families, dog walkers (outside but with water bowls for the "4-legged friends"). Then there is the view - always lovely whatever the weather.

Attended this venue at 5.30 on a Saturday evening as a booking for 11 people-when booking we were advised the tables would be split into 2 tables but beside each other which was fine. On arrival the restaurant advised there was a table of 4 and a booth for 7 people available-unfortunately these where at opposite ends of the restaurant.... More

After trying to get a table at several restaurants without booking ahead, we stumbled across this place and ended up eating in the cafe part on the first floor. It seemed it was the overflow for the main restaurant upstairs. The food was fine, but not spectacular. It was not as gluten-free friendly as most of the restaurants in Ireland... More
