I understand there is a new chef. We ordered 6 dishes today to take away. The ones made or assembled on site were really poor. Dry and tasteless coronation chicken and tuna baguettes. Very greasy but almost bacon free bacon roll. It used to be...very good but it is now poor and expensive.More

Know the that we have frequented another Little Kitchen many times and enjoyed the experience. We thought we would try this place for a lunch. We turned up and saw the 'Please wait to be seated' sign and waited. After a few minutes a member...of staff asked if we were OK .We said we were waiting and she said wait by the door. By this time a couple had come in and were waiting by the door. They were swiftly whisked away into the restaurant. We waited at the door for sveral more minutes while three members of staff walked past. We then left. Obviously I can't comment on the foodMore

Wanted to give this place another chance - they advertised on Facebook 'burger with everything' which I thought sounded good and that they had some space available on Saturday night.... great! However when I arrived the place was shut up, no lights on, no opening...hours sign, no note saying why it was closed...seems a bit of a shambles, luckily great pub was open just up the road.More

We did unfortunately have to close on the evening in question as we had not received any takeaway orders and in the current environment simply cannot afford to keep a chef and serving staff on without any confirmed bookings - I would suggest not so...More

We hadn’t been here for several months since before the new owner took over, and what a pleasure it was. We sat outside in the courtyard, which has been transformed and feels intimate despite the social distancing in place. Very friendly service, but the real...surprise was the quality of food. Although the menu is fairly simple, it really does feel home made. Each ingredient was tasty and individual, and it felt loved. The coffee was good too. We shall be back.More

Cait and the team at The Little Kitchen Company created our perfect Micro Wedding, despite all the ongoing changing restrictions with Covid-19. All Covid-19 guidelines were explained and upheld throughout. Amazing food and amazing service. We would highly recommend The Little Kitchen Company for any...events, and hope to use them again for the future. Thankyou again!More

I had high hopes for breakfast here but was more than a little disappointed. Although my scrambled egg on toast was nice, the portion size was very mean. 1 slice of (not overly large) toast served on a massive plate. Please revise the portion size...- I’d serve my 6 year old this size breakfast, not an adult!... and my friend’s poached eggs were watery... and also served on 1 slice of toast!More

Hi Lyn, thank you for your feedback - I will raise the portion size in today's meeting with the team, thank you for letting us know and I will ensure that we are offering more toast with every breakfast - we certainly aren't usually pulled...More

Stopped at the Bean and Bar for some lunch on a showery Saturday. Staff were excellent and very attentive , could not have done more. Well done. Croque madame was excellent and a nice coffee and caramel slice. We will be back on a future...walk. We sat in the pleasant courtyard in between rain showers. I am sure it will be an asset all year round. Well done Bean and Bar.More

We've been for both lunch and supper - supper was the highlight! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with the menu and there was a great atmosphere! The menu allowed us to try many dishes and the weather made the evening in the courtyard...very enjoyable!More

We live in Twyford, so have eaten in Bean Below (the same restaurant before it was taken over by the Little Kitchen Company) many times before. We went for dinner on 15th August and had a really good experience - great, friendly service, excellent food...(we had the fish sharing board and some tapas-style dishes) and a lovely atmosphere in their courtyard which is lit with 'fairy lights; in the evening. They have a good drinks menu, with bottles of wine from just £17 and a good choice of local gins. We will certainly be back and will recommend the restaurant to othersMore

We had been looking forward to coming to the Little Bean since it reopened however the overall experience was mixed. Upon arrival we were greeted and shown to a table outside, we were expecting a 'laid back' dining experience however it seemed there was some...form of party taking place on one of the tables with no social distancing being adhered to! This was accompanied by a rather unpleasent thumping soundtrack from a very loud speaker and the occasional waft of diesel fumes from the main road close by. Once the party had gone the atmosphere did seem to calm down and return to a more pleasent setting. The menu was a little confusing, we wern't sure if it was a tapas restaurant or something else with no real theme. The food we ordered was good but let down by the small portion sizes and no real way to order a filling main dish. Overall I would say this place is still finding it's way so maybe let it settle in a while longer before returning.More

Thankyou for your feedback. We did have a private party during the early part of the evening and I’m sorry if that affected your early part of your experience with us. Our menu is curated with flexibility at its core - it’s not a starters,...More
