A lovely pub with nice atmosphere, log fires in winter and very good selection of beers. Add to that a well priced menu of good old English pub food, and this makes it a very good place to go for lunch or an evening meal.

We had a ploughmans. The coleslaw was amazing. All well presented and tasted fresh. Friendly staff. There was skittles going on so the noise was a bit distracting. Ladies toilets very clean, not sure about the weird sliding doors though.

This place has soooo much potential- great location and bunch of character, but it needs an uplift of decor and new menu. Food was fine, just fine, nothing more or less. Large portions, nice chips- but nothing special, nothing which would bring us back! The...More
