Stopped off here on our way to Center Parcs from Surrey, and on our return journey as well, to have a late breakfast. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of it and great value, would recommend it to anyone passing through. So good food, sensible prices, and polite friendly staff. The icing on the cake was a lovely large slice of bread pudding to take away.

I stopped by here last Friday for a breakfast.
Friendly staff, very efficient. Food cooked to order and cooked how you asked for, as I only eat well done bacon and it was well done but not burnt. It was perfect. Eggs perfect what more can I say apart from. Table service is great and you do not seem to wait long for your order all in all amazing. Keep up the good work Hillside I will be recommending you to everyone I know and I will 100% be back soon.

We live locally but had never visited before. Decided to go there for lunch before we set off on a long journey and we weren’t disappointed. Extensive menu and food was cooked perfectly with the added bonus that they will make changes if requested. I have only one complaint - they aren’t open weekends when I could do with a hearty breakfast and I don’t have to go to work! But we’ll still visit whenever we get the chance.

I have stopped at this place on numerous occasions over the years, both in my car and as a lorry driver. It's just situated by the A36 near Warminster.
It's really bright clean and peaceful inside, service is generally quick. You can have roast dinners, the usual chip meals, all day breakfasts and various sandwiches. Whatever you choose I'm sure you wont be disappointed. Staff are excellent as well.
I cant praise it enough, but it's a good place to stop, relax and have break if you have been travelling all day.

My wife and I have passed this Cafe on several occasions over the years. It was not until recently that we called in on route to visit friends. Our first visit some time back was a wonderful experience, so much so that we found it hard to believe that it was still possible to have a lunch well produced at such a reasonable cost. Our next visit was planned, and the result was just the same, good wholesome food well produced and very reasonable in price! This prompted me to write a review. Yes I know it is a truck stop and yes it is a cafe, but thats where it ends. If you want a good well cooked, no frills meal, this is the place to stop by. It is not upmarket, but who cares, the staff are friendly (hard working) and they do a great job, Great to drop in when going past for a break and refreshment. You will not be dissapointed...

What a brilliant spur of the moment decision. Great quality food for great prices. Homemade food and fresh ingredients. Friendly local people who clearly enjoy what they do. I was particularly impressed with the freshness of the salad I'd been craving. No pre-cut salad, it was all freshly prepared and you could taste it. Hubby had a breakfast and enjoyed every bite. Well worth a visit. Also clean and hygienic which makes a huge impact.

We visited this place on our way to Cornwall as it is only a 3 minute detour from the A303 and came highly recommended. The food was absolutely top notch and as a fussy eater they were happy to let me substitute menu items for ones which suited me.
Literally could not fault this place, will definitely be back the next time we are passing

Visited with a friend after being recommended by another friend.. didn’t disappoint I had a vegetarian breakfast and it was lovely - well cooked and plenty of it. My friend had a carb free one and just as good.
Excellent value and friendly staff as well.

On our way from West Sussex to Somerset for a midweek break for our wedding anniversary (had quite a few) stopped for breakfast and it was perfect. Good food, sensible prices, polite friendly staff. Will put on any future journeys on A36

Decent good value traditional roadside cafe catering for everyone. Six of us came here for a business breakfast meeting. Everyone was happy, food and drinks were too quality, the place was very clean including the toilets and everyone was happy on concluding. What more can you ask?

Delicious breakfast & excellent service. We sat outside with our mini Daschund. Dogs are welcome inside but it was very busy so sat outside. Freshly cooked breakfast was massive. Haven't had fried bread for years ! Definitely worth a visit.

I took my wife, mother in law, and step mom to this Cafe on our way to Stonehenge and we had such a wonderful experience. This a family owned business for over 50 years and we were lucky to have met Ian the owner. Unfortunately we learned his wife passed away a couple years ago, but we could tell she was still there in spirit. The food was excellent. I highly recommend visiting this place. Thank you Ian and your staff for starting our day off so amazing with your warm hospitality and delicious food.

Never had a bad meal from Hillside Cafe. The staff are always nice, the food is amazing and it's great value for money.
A nice clean Cafe, the loos were spotless.
This time we were a bit naughty and had a sausage breakfast with fried bread ! AMAZING

We are The Breakfast Club from Longwell Green area Bristol. We visit a different Cafe each Monday. This is my personal review. The Breakfast was plenty full of good quality and great value for money. The venue whilst predominantly a Transport Cafe if also suitable for families and any visitor. Clean friendly and a good stop on a journey. Highly Recommended.

First visit in a very long time but well worth the wait. Hillside never disappoints. Lovely breakfast.
Great value for money.
Shame that they are not open at the weekend but understandable with their early start each weekday.
