Thank you for your lovely review. Hope to see you again soon. Ian, Terry and the team.
I have stopped at this place on numerous occasions over the years, both in my car and as a lorry driver. It's just situated by the A36 near Warminster.
It's really bright clean and peaceful inside, service is generally quick. You can have roast dinners,...the usual chip meals, all day breakfasts and various sandwiches. Whatever you choose I'm sure you wont be disappointed. Staff are excellent as well.
I cant praise it enough, but it's a good place to stop, relax and have break if you have been travelling all day.More
I stopped by here last Friday for a breakfast.
Friendly staff, very efficient. Food cooked to order and cooked how you asked for, as I only eat well done bacon and it was well done but not burnt. It was perfect. Eggs perfect what more...can I say apart from. Table service is great and you do not seem to wait long for your order all in all amazing. Keep up the good work Hillside I will be recommending you to everyone I know and I will 100% be back soon.More
We live locally but had never visited before. Decided to go there for lunch before we set off on a long journey and we weren’t disappointed. Extensive menu and food was cooked perfectly with the added bonus that they will make changes if requested. I...have only one complaint - they aren’t open weekends when I could do with a hearty breakfast and I don’t have to go to work! But we’ll still visit whenever we get the chance.More

Thank you for your lovely review. We look forward to seeing you when we are allowed to open again. Ian and Terry
This cafe appeared out of the blue for us on a very long journey from south east London to Somerset.(It is on the A36).Going cross country instead of via motorway was a mistake as it was a driving nightmare on a Friday afternoon.....
We were...very hungry indeed and tempers were frayed somewhat, when we saw this cafe on the road side. Even though there was a big “closed” sign on the door the owner said we could come in.
Our sandwiches were delicious and our cakes the best tasting in a long time.
The staff were very friendly and we went on our way much happier. We could have had what sandwiches we wanted, the guy was so obliging.
He has been there for many years. I hope the cafe continues. Well done!More
If you want a full English or just a small English this is the place, we stop here every time we come to the UK and have done for years and the quality and service has never let us down, just what the doctor ordered,...very friendly service and a best of British breakfasts, they even let me charge my mobile, keep it up ladies this is what is great about BritainMore
I have been breaking a long drive with a stop here for many years.
Hillside maintains the very best of the tradition of the British roadside cafe. Good food. Clean premises. Great prices. Easy parking. Nice location.
