Now open Tuesday evenings! We are a local restaurant 5mins from Longleat and Centre Parcs, situated in the town centre. Ample parking nearby and easy access, we are a little different to most! We are an Old Fire Station, offering a very relaxed and informal environment in which to dine with great atmosphere and music in the background. Enjoy a selection of different grazing and sharing boards and a selection of tapas dishes. The chorizo & cider is a must! Our pizza is freshly prepared and cooked in our fantastic wood fired oven. Almost everything is cooked from fresh and there are ample choices regardless of your dietary requirement. A great selection of local beers and quality wines are available. Whether a table for two, or a party of 20, we can accommodate. We also cater for private functions & events. We regularly open a little earlier or out with normal hours to accommodate visiting groups and families. Oven closes at 8.45pm! Sunday's is a Roast Day! Advanced booking essential.

What a wonderful place! We went to The Old Fire Station for a birthday celebration as a family of 6, and we could not have had a better evening. The building is beautiful with a warm and welcoming feeling on arrival. We were seated and given menus and time to make choices. Our waitress was absolutely lovely- friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. The food is out of this world! The pizzas are made fresh in a pizza oven with absolutely fabulous toppings. I had a 'half and half' topping- pear and Stilton on one side, and smoked cheese and chorizo on the other. There are fabulous choices of toppings, and a small but delicious selection of other dishes (Eg. Greek salad, chorizo in cider, fresh tuna) all made fresh to order. The atmosphere is wonderful and extremely busy for a Tuesday evening, so don't forget to book! The staff worked non-stop all evening and are a credit to the business. It was my mum's birthday, and we had brought a cake with us. Our lovely waitress brought it out and started to sing Happy Birthday, which the rest of the restaurant joined in with. It was magical and very special for our mum, so thank you!
It is incredibly reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food and the warm, welcoming atmosphere with a calm, gentle buzz of people enjoying their evening. Thank you The Old Fire Station, we loved you ❤️

I think I’ll have to revisit CCTV to find out who our singing waitress was!! Your words are very informative and will no doubt show others that we are the place to be in Warminster.

We love coming here normally as great food and atmosphere. We booked on Saturday and on arrival we were told you were fully booked and we had to sit in the high table in front of the front door so it was a bit dark and cold. Sadly the calzones mentioned on FB weren’t available and my pizza was somewhat lacking with cheese. Not the usual standard so putting it down to a busy Saturday but a shame as it was a special occasion and we paid a babysitter to come. Will still return but would push not to sit on the table by the door as it wasn’t a comfortable experience

Apologies. Calzones were available but my fault for not conveying to the team that evening. I agree with your points on the table by the door. Where possible, we will always try and accommodate on a regular table but that must have been the only table available when booking. We usually stress to people when booking if this is the only table for the reasons you stated. I will ensure that this is conveyed to all staff for the future.
When you book next time, ask for a general table and if there is one available, you will get it!

A fabulous find.
The Restaurant was wonderfully different with lot of memorabilia to look at.
Ruby our waitress could not have been better, a real credit to the business. Nothing was too much, patience with our ordering, lighting a candle (my husband's Birthday), letting the children spy their home crafted pizza's cooking in the oven, not hurrying us out, splitting up the bill etc.
To top it all the food was sublime!!!!
Would definitely recommend and visit again if back in the area.

The food was very good, however…….
Table was dirty, we asked for it to be cleaned and was amazed that it was then wiped poorly with a serviette. The wait between finishing our starter and receiving the main course was just over 40 mins and the level of service was very very poor. This is not our first visit but I think it will be our last. It is staffed by young girls who clearly have a poor level of training.

Thank you for taking the time to review and making us aware of your disappointing visit. Firstly, could I ask that you let me know when you were in so I can take the matter up with the staff on that evening? Without knowing who you are, I cannot really address the matter with the team in the appropriate way. I realise you may wish to appear anonymous, but we would like you to come back and make your next visit more welcoming.
While the wait may have been long, there was possible other factors that had to be taken into consideration. Again, without knowing when, I cannot ask the question to the staff. We generally space arrivals so that only two table arrive every 15 mins. If someone arrives early or late, it can disrupt timings.
We do have a very young team and I am proud of the work they do. They do sometimes let themselves down, as on this occasion, but very rarely. Not many people would take the risk of leaving an 18yr old in charge of a business like ours, but our business model of employing young folk works well. This is their start to life and they get a great opportunity to gain experience before heading to college or University.
Training, well that comes down to me! Sorry! I will improve!
Again, without knowing when you were in, I am pretty powerless to address the matter directly!

We were really excited to go to this restaurant as it had great reviews. Restaurant environment is lovely with some cool decor and great lighting. Pizza was awful - we waited an hour and it was dry, barely any cheese and burnt. Waitress was lovely and offered 10% off and then manager came over to say the rest of the restaurant had the same and no complaints. He did say we didn’t have to pay for our food but then when on to dispute our opinion.

Hi Theresa,
I'm so sorry that we let you down and didn't live up to our reputation. I thought I had answered everything on the evening. Your complaint was the only complaint we had and as far as I'm aware, the pizzas were made in the same way as normal. I do not want anybody to have to pay for anything that was not up to standard which is why I refused to take any payment. The payment you insisted for the the drinks went to staff tips.
Every opinion counts. When you stated there was no cheese on the pizza, I simply went to the kitchen and checked. There was cheese on it. I didn't dispute it, I was merely stating a fact! You did state that the pizzas were tasteless. One of them was a Veggie feast, yes, certain veggies can be bland, but you added Anchovies and Pineapple. I have to say that in my opinion, this is possibly the worst combination you could possible get so that probably why it didn't taste right!
Regardless, I am truly sorry you didn't have a good visit.

A unique style restaurant! We booked last minute, at 5pm following a recommendation from my husbands friend who is a regular, and after reading the rave TA reviews.
We enjoyed the decor, and the food was nice and as expected from a pizza oven, but we didn't get the 'wow' experience that the reviews and our friend had referenced. The restaurant was very busy due to a nearby firework display....but we were served in a timely manner. Unfortunately we did receive flat diet coke (which was replaced), left with empty plates on our table for quite some time, and then served cold 'hot chocolate fudge cake' TWICE...we sent the first ones back, and then it came back just as cold second time (so we gave up on the idea of the promised hot choc fudge cake and our kids ate it cold)!
The staff that we spoke to were smiley and lovely but all far too busy and seemed understaffed tonight. We aren't local (from 'the north') so we won't be back to try again another time but wish the business well!

Thanks for your review and thanks for visiting us. We have taken in all points raised and have now addressed them thus ensuring the Wow factor is there for the next person.
One point from ourselves though. As you mentioned, you did book last minute and it would have been very easy for me to say no, which would have in turn disappointed your kids. Fortunately for you, I was in the building and gave you the table, however, it was against the wishes of my team leader who advised against letting you have a seat as we were busy. Staffing wise, we had the right number of staff working, just my error so apologies to my staff.

We chose The Old Fire Station for our works Christmas lunch and we are so very glad that we did! David is a wonderful host who really makes you feel invited and relaxed, the venue itself is beautiful, quaint and cosy (although there were over 20 of us, there was enough space for everyone comfortably!). The food was spectacular and being the wonderful host that he is, David met all food requirements as and when they came up and personalised food for individuals also, it was a very unique and memorable lunch. We will definitely be returning for work functions and in our personal time!

Visited for the first time this week.
We choose sausages to share as a starter and they were delicious with the 2 dips.
Our mains pizza were also very nice the OFS and a 4 cheese. These did take an age to come and it was over an hour before we ate them, considering we were the only ones in the restaurant I felt this was a long time. When they did come, they came separately 5 mins apart so i was glad we were sharing. Staff were friendly but they only told us as we were paying that there had been a problem with ovens. The staff didn't notice walk in customers coming in to see if there was a free table and then walk out again a few minutes later after no response from staff.
We didn't order dessert as by then 3 big tables (30+ people) had come in and were ordering so we felt our order would also take ages again.
Nice small selection of local ales to suit tastes at a reasonable price.
We would definitely come back and definitely at an earlier sitting. It was very quirky.

Thank you so much for such an informative review. Honest reviews are worth their weight in gold. I did speak to the staff about the delay. There was a simple miscommunication between staff, so please accept my apologies. You should have gone for a dessert. Whenever there is a small table surrounded by groups, we always try and ensure they are catered for. It was a little bit of a "different" evening. We wouldn't normally cater for 3 large groups on one evening. They were suppose to arrive at 20 min intervals which didn't help! Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit and look forward to welcoming you back again soon, perhaps on an evening when it's not quite as mad! Dave

Visited on recommendation from friends. Charming place which is a converted fire station and has retained many original features and paraphernalia. It makes very interesting, unique and quirky atmosphere.
Bustling on our visit, around 30 diners.
Service is gentle and relaxed in the standard West Country way. Please don’t expect London pushiness or efficiently and its very refreshing and all the better for it
Our host, charming Scots gent was great and food was freshly prepared in the open kitchen with wood fired pizza oven in full view.
My chicken and sweetcorn at £15 was delicious. Fresh, lovely tasting ingredients.
Mrs had Stilton and pear. Unusual combo but it was amazing, apparently.
Local beer ( plain ales from Salisbury plain) were on offer at £5.
As a small independent restaurant,they are absolutely smashing it out of the park in terms of service and quality.
Very pleased we ventured into Warminster for this place and would happily visit again.

A must visit if in the Warminster area. Not only is the food delicious, large selection of local beers and ciders the atmosphere is great.
The friendliness of the staff is second to none. We were quite a large booking with 3 children in prams. Not only did they ensure we had enough high chairs but they stored our prams out the way and brought other some toys to help entertain the babies.
My wife is dairy, gluten and soy free and normally which normally is in issue in most restaurants but not at the old fire station. The chef kindly made a delicious custom pizza which allowed us to all enjoy pizza together instead of my wife missing out.
Such a friendly place we will definitely make this a regular for our family! Cannot recommend it enough!

Cheers for the lovely review James. So happy you had a great visit to our little place. We're always looking to accommodate all ages and all dietary requirements. Everything is cooked to order so it's never a problem to cater for gluten or dairy free. We don't hide the fact that we buy in the GF pizza bases as it's just easier for us, especially as we are usually very busy.

Following a recommendation, we visited The Old Fire Station restaurant last Saturday lunchtime and thoroughly enjoyed it! The wood-fired pizzas were delicious and the chorizo and pepper tapas dishes just finger-licking good. The restaurant itself looked so inviting and the staff were lovely as well. We were glad we had booked a table as it was nice and busy. I would 100% recommend you try it for yourself. Believe me, you won't be disappointed!

Lovely food in a really relaxed atmosphere with a plethora of eclectic fire station memorabilia all around you. Perfect start to our evening out at the Athenaeum which is literally just around the corner.
The young waitress was attentive without bothering us too often and nothing was too much trouble. The owner (who we met on our way out) was really helpful when I booked the table and gave directions to the nearest car park. The food was lovely too. Would thoroughly recommend...

Excellent place to eat, love the decor and feel of the old fire station.
Pizzas were amazing and hosting was even better, giving the whole experience a 5* from us, would without a doubt recommend, will visit again if we are in the area in the future.

I don’t even know where to start.
The hospitality 10/10

We arrived earlier than our booked slot and we were sat down immediately without hesitation. Ordered drinks and waited for our starters.
The Chorizo may be the best thing we’ve ever eaten. We’ve spoken about it all day and would walk back to eat it again.
The pizza was the best! Perfectly cooked. Just outstanding.
A special mention goes to Dave who on his evening off, still came to shake our hands (it was our honeymoon) and even surprised us with 2 free bottles of beer to take home.
If you’re thinking of places to go for food in the area, and don’t go here, you’ve totally missed out.

Thanks folks, we cannot ask for a better review.
Firstly, thank you for changing your reservation from Wednesday to Thursday to accommodate our decision to close that day. It was lovely to meet and chat, and see your wedding photos. Of course, I fully get the stormtrooper guard of honor, even if Zoe and my wife didn't!
It was also lovely to dine that evening after a hectic week in Scotland. The evening was relaxed and a little quieter than usual so the perfect setting to unwind. The team as usual were fab.
From all the team, we wish you all the very best in the years to come.

Wow what can I say about this restaurant.
The food was stunning, best pizza around. We had the chorizo in cider recommended by a young brilliant polite waitress Called ruby which didn’t disappoint. Brilliant service, stunning food and a brilliant atmosphere. Highly recommend!! Left a big tip as it was fully deserved
