We have this evening been to Ravello for a meal whilst staying in Bradford upon Avon. We were very pleasantly surprised by the interior of the building, the restaurant is beautiful and SO big! The atmosphere was really good, buzzy and busy without feeling rowdy. The service is extremely good, the food is wonderful, we struggled to choose from the menu, it all sounds delicious and we were very pleased with what we chose. All in all, a perfect experience that proved to be very good value for money. We loved the extra touch of a shot of Limoncello 'on the house' whilst waiting for our taxi. The staff are so good, giving you time to chat and showing interest. We will most definitely return. Thank you Ravello and ciao for now 😉

What an experience. If you love good quality authentic Italian food, this is the place to come. I grew up with Italians and have been to Italy for the food many many times and the food at Ravello is fantastic and authentic. I booked a table online for my husbands birthday, it was just the two of us. We had olives to start, king prawns and mozzarella starters. We also had the lamb dish and the duck leg. Absolutely fantastic! The staff are superb and friendly. We didn’t want desserts but when we asked for the bill we were presented with a birthday dessert. We didn’t ask for it, they just gave it to us. Amazing place and can’t wait to return!! Thank you also for the birthday card on the table when we arrived. Hands down a fantastic restaurant!!

My friend and I meet in BOA on a regular basis, I live just outside Trowbridge and she lives in Bath. We were hungry so decided to go to Ravello. It’s such a pretty venue, I can see it being very romantic for couples. The staff are attentive without being intrusive. It’s informal atmosphere makes it relaxing. The menu is good, I’ve not ventured into their pasta or pizza, but the options sound lovely, can’t wait to go back. We shared appetisers and starters. I had the chicken supreme, delicious on buttery mash with an amazing cheese sauce albeit being served with my hated parsley, but it didn’t matter, my friend had the monk fish which was excellent. The toasted breads with whipped butter, yum, calamari to die for and a portobello mushroom deliciously stuffed. No puddings for us this time, but great decaf coffee to complete our evening made for a great catch up.

We booked at ravello for my boyfriends birthday meal. We had a reservation at 5.15pm due it being a family meal and having 3 children with us. I had made a cake for the birthday celebration and on arrival I felt one of the waiters looked down on me for bringing a cake and I was told the cake isn’t allowed to be eaten here only presented. I asked if we could cut it at the restaurant due to family staying at hotels afterwards. This also seemed to be an issue but he later agreed. The food arrived quickly and was good standard. The children were good as gold. The youngest was sitting on her mums knee after the food and the waiter quickly removed the high chair as other people were arriving to their tables. At this point we felt like they were wanting us to leave. Food was nice I just don’t feel like it’s somewhere that is welcoming of a family and we all left feeling we weren’t welcome.

Can't speak highly enough of the meal we just had there. Starving kids and hungry adults in a beautiful garden courtyard. We ate really top quality Italian food and with the current covid discount paid 15 per person for what would have cost 50 plus in London. Great staff, great food and wine and a stunning place. I hope to come back again soon.

Based on the good reviews here I had dinner at Ravello with a couple of friends. The building is very old and atmospheric, and strung with lights, so it has quite a romantic and cosy feeling. The staff are efficient and friendly. But the food was quite disappointing. the insalata caprese was just a big ball of mozzarella with one fat slice of tomato, two whole basil leaves and no dressing at all. The tomato had a big hard core and was very insipid. The waiter brought us some oil and balsamic glaze (not vinegar, unfortunately). But it was beyond help. Ditto my side salad of rocket and parmesan. For £3 it was a tiny portion, and the rocket looked tired. The pancetta pasta with olives and tomatoes lacked pancetta, there were too many olives, and they tasted like those nasty ones from a tin. There was just no love in this food, and it showed.

Visiting Bradford on Avon, we came across Ravello just by chance. We were enjoying a lovely, long walk on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and decided to get something to eat. Most places were full and we tried our luck at Ravello. They were busy, but welcomed us in and managed to find a lovely table. From the food to the ambience, everything was spot on. The food is yummy and full of flavour. We like fresh ingredients, herbs and seasons and the combination of those makes for a very satisfying eating experience. We asked about the menu and got straight answers from the staff and that's something we believe it's worth mentioning. I realised the salt dispenser was empty and my partner told me we just needed to ask for another one. We were so impressed when the waiter apologised and told us it wouldn't be a minute and we barely had a chance to say thank you, when another waiter brought us a new dispenser - wow, that was fast. We also had a starter similar to what we ordered, but not exactly the same, and again they took it back without problems and replaced with the right one. Hand sanitizer as soon as we walk into the premises, space between the tables and clean and tidy toilets are also worth mentioning. Overall, a place we're happy to recommend and will certainly be going back when the taste buds crave Italian.

We decided to give this place a try as we're in BOA on a narrowboat for a few days and were not disappointed. My partner is still raving about the tiger prawn starter this morning, which he says is the best he has ever eaten (and he's very hard to impress). Both mains were delicious - he had the sea bass, which was cooked to perfection and I had a medley of mussels, crayfish and samphire, which was sublime. We took advantage of the Govt Eat to Help Out Scheme, but would have happily paid full price- cant remember a better meal in a very long time. Service was fantastic, attentive in the right degree and atmosphere ambient, cosy and friendly. Good COVID measures in place including discreet miniature bottles of hand sanitiser on the table. Perfect evening - we'll definitely be back.

We visited Ravello for my dad's 60th birthday meal and were very impressed with our experience! The building is gorgeous on the inside and out with very friendly and attentive staff.. We had a variety of meals all cooked perfectly, I thoroughly enjoyed my seafood pizza, with a crisp base and very flavourful. My wife had the lasagne which was also a hit on the evening. My dad was even treated to a happy birthday message and card with his dessert which was very thoughtful. Overall, a great experience- we shall be returning!

Mid week dinner with my mum and a friend. Varied menu for all tastes and appetites Service was friendly, very efficient but totally unintrusive (perfect) Mum had seafood linguine, her friend the ravioli of the day and I had the fish stew. The ladies loved their pasta and my fish stew was good - it didn't blow me away but the quality of ingredients was good and the food was hot. I am a tough cookie to please when it comes to fish stew so this is not a negative review by any means!!! Tables well spaced and angled from other guests, sanitiser on all tables, staff wearing masks which was a huge positive for me . I'd definitely go back Perfect with friends, family or for a date night

We went to Ravello for a nice wedding anniversary dinner. From the start, we were impressed by the staff friendliness and service as well as the nicely set-out table settings. The bruschetta to start with was beautifully seasoned and flavoured and as tastier than many I've had in Italy itself. This was followed by stunning main courses for my wife and myself with a sphagetti carbonara and risotto con branzino (sea bass, prawns, chilli's and saffron). The carbonara was flavoured with deliciously smoky pancetta whilst the risotto was perfectly infused with spices. We plan to return as soon as we can.

A party of around fifteen visited Revello for a team night out and had a great time. The location and dining experience was very good,. Everyone loved their food, I had seafood pizza with extra toppings which I will definitely go back and have again. In fact several of us have tried to revisit and struggled to get in so you should book-up in advance, especially Friday or Saturday evening.

A good basic Italian restaurant - economical, good service and unpretentious and simple food that doesn’t break the bank for a mid week meal while away on holiday. The restaurant is in the most beautiful ancient Hogwarts like building. So yep, all good

This is a lovely restaurant with a very nice atmosphere and friendly service. There is a wide choice on the menu and the food is delicious. My only criticism is that the helpings are far too small. I ordered just a main course and biscuits and cheese.. I ordered duck confit, which was expensive, and the duck leg was very small, and the only vegetables was small square of pre-prepared potato gratin, and one (yes one!) piece of broccoli. I was still hungry at the end so ordered cheese and biscuits to fill up. This was more generous. The food was very tasty, but just not enough of it. Therefore not good value for money.

Once again Ravello did not disappoint. Complimentary prosecco on arrival. Pan fried king prawns and sardines for starters followed by duck confit and rump of lamb all washed down by a bottle of Merlot. After a suitable interval we followed up with ice cream with a shot of lemoncello and a chocolate fondant and ice cream. The service was unobtrusive but attentive. The food was fantastic.. Ravello continues to deliver at a very high standard and is highly recommended.
