Friendly, efficient service from man dressed in 16th century breeches and shirt. He took our order using a quill pen. The building is old and delapidated. Toilet would not flush immediately after the person before me.

Hard to know what to make of this place. The garden was splendid as it was a fine day but the atmosphere was diminished by the green plastic chairs. Similarly the coffee room inside is beautiful but why spoil a 18th century fireplace with a...More

Home made warm cake and coffee on a chilly January day. Dusty surfaces, wobbly tables, crooked pictures all added to the delight of this coffee room. Set in an old town house with narrow spaces and corridors it's a piece of history. The owner served...More

Chanced upon this coffee shop and absolutely loved it. Quaint, different and fun. Not for people who want a huge menu and lots of fancy coffees but for those who love the bizarre (fire is a computer generated image complete with sound effects) and eighties...More
