Such a pleasure to eat in a Pub that still feels like a Pub rather than a restaurant. Great relaxed atmosphere. Food was good and honest home cooking rather than the pretentious stuff you get in a lot of the so called gastro pubs nowadays....More

Dear Brendanfms, many thanks for your kind review. I don't know what time you came to the Dog and Fox but the waitresses all start the shift looking presentable. A busy shift can leave some looking a bit dishevelled. However, your comments about the food...More

Food, drink and atmosphere were all spot on for a lovely Sunday pub lunch after a long walk from Bath to Bradford-On-Avon along the canal. The landlord/lady generously catered for the dogs by giving them biscuits, they came and asked after the food for every...More

An excellent rustic venue which suited our requirements perfectly, lovely food and drink, dog friendly and warm fires. After lunch, 8 of us retired from the restaurant or lounge to a 'cozy' but private side room for a business meeting. An excellent and relaxing setting....More

Couldn't have been more welcoming to four muddy walkers and their three muddy dogs, for a perfect Sunday roast lunch. It's a small country pub that serves great, well cooked, pub food, without trying to be a gastro-pub. The publican and waitresses couldn't have been...More

Description
A classic English pub situated on the edge of the delightful town of Bradford on Avon - just where the town meets the lovely Wiltshire countryside. The pub is within 1 mile of the centre of the town and it is an ideal place to start or finish a walk. The Dog and Fox is known for it's good pub fare as well as traditional draught beers, ciders, lagers and good range of wines. The Garden is a favourite with children and the pub is dog friendly.
