I had a wonderful cream tea here, the tea was freshly brewed and the cream and scone was exquisite. I really liked the fine bone china tea cups and the peace upstairs was refreshing in contrast to the bustling activities outside.

Nice little lunch, A little bit expensive for the size of the meal. Did enjoy the meal and the English tea. Historical setting added to our meal.

Such a lovely setting but dry scones let down the cream tea...ALL areas need to be good if you are to maintain such high standard in this arena.

Maybe from one of the kitchen tools used in baking, if they do all the baking themselves, or in the very costly organic ingredients maybe?
