Disappointing- food lacked flavour or usual authentic Thai flavour or aromatics, no spice at all, no garnishes eg fresh chillies. When we requested some chilli sauce we were given a small dish of dried chilli flakes, not at all the same as they only really...work during the cooking process and just added weird crunch. Such a shame, has a great reputation!More
First time to this restaurant but I’ve heard a few people say it’s good. We had the papaya salad and a chicken massaman curry with coconut rice. The flavours were spot on as were the portions. The restaurant had a nice ambience and the staff...were very friendly - service was great! Definitely will be going back.More
Excellent service and food. Nice welcome, great choice. Busy atmosphere - maybe best to book. We didn’t but was very early evening. Definitely worth a visit
Visited Saturday 8th July. Very welcoming and a lovely little restaurant. Very busy for a Saturday night, however the food was amazing. Full of flavour and some really powerful taste bud explosions. Presentation was outstanding. Could not fault it. Only negative was waiting time for...drinks. Took nearly 20 mins to get offered drinks and just slow service in this one area. I would highly recommend the wandering tiger dish, outstanding. We will be backMore
A visit for our friends birthday and before we went to see PopGang. What a wonderful restaurant, so attentive and the food is divine. I had the Tiger Beef and is was so tender.
A cold greeting when we arrived For drinks, ordered 3x mango juice, which arrived lukewarm with ice in For our children (age 6 and 2) we asked for some plain chicken and beef with rice and noodles. The waitress said the chefs could only cook...food based on the dish numbers on the menu so we had to pick an exact dish on the menu! Weird that the chefs couldn't take an instruction as simple as plain meat, especially as it will be pre cooked for the evening's service. The starter was small and mediocre, it cost £16 and contained two tiny spring rolls, two dumplings and two battered prawns. Hardly a platter. Spring rolls have veg and rice noodles in and cost pennies to make, I don't understand why the portions were so stingy. The dumplings and prawns were tasty. But the mains was the biggest disappointment, the food was just wasnt very good. I've made thai curries from scratch many times and eaten at nice Thai restaurants, but these dishes at Thai Barn were not fresh tasting at all. They definitely hadn't made the paste fresh that day. It tasted like the sauce was from a jar. Total came to £80 for starter and 3 mains (with a tip already added to the bill when the receipt was presented) I hope they improveMore
From the time me and my mum walked in we was greeted with smiles and customer services. The ladies serving us was so professional and very courteous made our night. never had service like this ever a total credit to the manager. The food was...absolutely amazing never been for Thai food before the presentation and taste was absolutely amazing you will be seeing me and my mum again and thank you for making our nightMore
Quick service , very nice food and reasonable price , £60 for 2 starters 2 mains and a bottle of wine . Had the pineapple rice and sweet and sour vegetables for mains and prawn and Vegetable Tempura for starters. Would definitely recommend
This was my first visit since before covid lockdowns, and the standard of food and service is as amazing as it ever was - and at a very reasonable price. We had the Thai Barn Platter (sharing for 2) as a starter, the Thai Green...Curry and Choo Chee Curry as mains, and banana fritters for dessert - all were excellent. Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, place was busy as you would expect on a Saturday evening. Definitely going back soon.More
Very welcoming Thai restaurant. Quick service and tasty curries, good value for money.large menu and enjoyed the experience
Visited with my Nephew recently who had never tried Tai food. I love this place so was keen for him to try. He was blown away by the delicate flavours, great service and lovely atmosphere. Still one of the best Tai restaurants I’ve eaten at....Will definitely be going again.More
