Booked for dinner at the very last minute. The landlady was really friendly and welcoming, as were the locals. There was an open fire and it was nice and warm. Good selection of local beer and cider and a really good gin selection.
We ended up staying here for a couple of nights after a booking cock up at another local establishment, and it was very nice.
Before we left after the second night we had a Sunday lunch ....and WOW what a Sunday lunch it was.

A real surprise, run by a couple who really want the guests to experience country hospitality. Off the beaten track but visited by those in the know. Food menu was good and best ploughmans I have had fr a long time. Thoroughly recommended

A lovely pub, serving delicious classic pub fare. We both had burgers which were fantastic. Incredibly friendly too- we were treated like old friends as soon as we walked in. We will definitely be back.
