Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

I've been to the Harp & Crown so many times now - it's my all time favourite restaurant / pub. I live in Bath but travel specifically to Corsham for it & its amazing all vegan food. Food changes seasonally & is always amazing, and...great value. Usually food is more expensive because it's vegan, but not at the Harp & Crown. Staff are so lovely & atmosphere is so calming with lots of beautiful plants & a nice beer garden too. Every time I've taken a friend here, they fall in love with it too. 5 star all round!More

We've been to the harp & Crown about 10 times now and have recommended the pub and restaurant to many friends who are also fans of vegan food. Food quality at lunch was as at its usual high standard but, for the first time, the...service today was poor. 60 mins wait from getting dessert menu to being served. Had to go inside from the garden after 30 mins to place the order only for that order to then be checked again 20 mins later.More

Absolutely FANTASTIC. I usually find it hard to find anything on a menu but today I wanted everything. There were 5 of us. 2 had burgers, 2 had cauliflower bowls and I had 2 starters: the dosa and nachos. Delicious! A really lovely venue and...really nice staff. Thank you.More

Discovered this pub yesterday and was pleased that we got a reservation for Sunday lunch. Decor is beautiful and calming. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was flavoursome and well presented. Lots of good choices. Two of us had the Sunday roast with the ‘beef’...slices which was the best roast we’ve had in a long time. Now I’ve found this amazing pub it won’t be long before visiting again.More

WOW! The best Sunday roast, unanimously loved by veggies/vegans & meat eaters in our party. All veggies cooked beautifully & with care, very fresh, fab yorkshire pudding. Great service & decor, lovely garden room. Our friends came from Weston Super Mare & wished there was...another branch nearer - we'll definitely be back as there was a great choice & we want to try other dishes :)More

This was our first visit for a Sunday roast on the recommendation of our son and his girlfriend. We booked a table in the restaurant section for 12 so quite early which was just as well as getting quite busy by the time we left...about 1.30. Staff very friendly and the interior of this pub is beautiful. We had the roast, one with the nut roast and one with the meatless loaf, both tasty. Vegetables were great especially the large roasted carrot and parsnip. I would say that the potatoes could have been better, tasted a little re-heated? We are fussy with roast spuds though and unless they are really fluffy on the inside with a crisp outer, we are hard to please! For puddings I had the choc brownie with ice cream (delicious) and my husband had the Affogato, which was ok. We paid a tip as we were very happy with the service but didn't notice until we checked at home, that we had been charged for a sticky toffee pudding rather than the Affogato. Just meant a £1.50 overcharge which I am sure they would have rectified if we'd noticed the error at the time. Just a good idea to check if the place is getting busy :) We would definitely return and it was great knowing that everything was vegan, not having to ask if this is ok or that is ok.More

We were excited for our visit here. Very unusual to find a 100% vegan pub so we were looking forward to it on our visit to Wiltshire. The menu online looked lovely and we were not disappointed......it was yumma! We were greeted by a lovely...lady who was very attentive. The pub is lovely inside with nice greenery and decor. It had a nice atmosphere.....very relaxing. Food was amazing. We had the oyster mushrooms for starter which was moreish. Lasagne was lovely and ohhhhh the chips were to die for. My husband had a pudding called the monkeys knickers...made us laugh but was also delicious 😋 Shame we live so far away......we would certainly be regular visitors here. Just shows how vegan food can be delicious. Thank you for being a vegan food advocate.....we loved your food and will certainly visit you again on our next trip to Wiltshire.More

Had a very enjoyable evening at the Harp and Crown. The service was polite and efficient. Really enjoyed the food and jt was very attractively presented. All three friends had a very light courgette pancake with a teriyaki dressing to start followed by a massaman...curry including pineapple, tofu and peanuts. The curry was right at the top of my heat/spice comfort level but that's a very personal thing. We ended our evening with peppermint tea which was served in individual tea pots. Hope to return shortly.More

We want to like it, so our second visit, and maybe not our last. However, it’s a bit hit and miss. Food when good is full of flavour and hits the spot (jerk cauliflower), but we’re learning to avoid some dishes, particularly those that try...to substitute for dairy products, like cream and cheese, and the lemon curd tart was frankly weird, odd plastic texture, we left it. Sticky toffee pudding was finished tho. Service in the bar side (not the delightful rear dining room) was lengthy between dishes, and felt like we’d been forgotten. Annoyingly the table next to us, who’d arrived after, got their dishes before us, and it seemed the waitress promised to bring us pudding menus three weeks ago….. I recommend H&C on the basis that it’s something a little bit different, and you’d be safe ish to take a meat eater or two, but the novelty doesn’t outstrip the food for ever.More

What a great experience. We have been vegetarians for many years, and have never been able to make the next step to veganism. The Crown & Harp is a revelation, we both had such a tasty meal with chocolate puddings to follow. Fabulous! Many compliments...to the chef & everyone in the kitchen. Very pleasant front of house staff, and a beautifully clean & welcoming pub. Bravo! We shall return.More
