Came here for a 2 course meal for my wife's 50 birthday and the food was exceptional could not fault anything about it and the barmaid who was on at the time although I did not get her name was very helpful and went above...and beyond to make sure we had a good meal. Would definitely recommend this and go back again next time we are thereMore

We booked a table for Sunday lunch based on reviews read here and we weren’t disappointed. We were a party of 5 adults and 2 children and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The food came out hot, the portions were very good and every...item on the plate was delicious! Service was excellent. We’re unlikely to be back in the area but highly recommend checking out this little gem if you are.More

Nestled between Chesterfield and Matlock this little gem of place offers a very varied menu. A little nook of a place thats warm and welcoming as soon as you enter. Its family run and that shows in the pride thats taken The waiting staff are...attentive but not over bearing. The food is very generous in portions and cooked to perfection. Some menu items are very different and I haven't seen them anywhere else but its all lovely. Great food in a great setting. We will be regulars now happy to support a great family running a great place Give it a go you won't regret itMore

Our first visit as we are staying nearby on holiday. The pub is a traditional pub and very friendly staff. Menu is great and lots of vegetarian options which is great for me. The food and service was excellent and we would definitely recommend and...return. Only little thing a local came to the bar and was swearing with should of been challenged as young children were dining in the pup.More

Had an amazing evening meal. The roast vegetables were tremendous and the Stilton sauce on the special menu was unreal. The staff are so helpful and are all lovely. Liked it so much we have booked for Sunday lunch tomorrow :)

A dreadful experience recently from faffing about with tables, poor quality food (lamb) and hopeless in sorting out issues. Spoilt a family meal and will avoid in future.

Visited for food with my family, and we really enjoyed it. Great service and tasty food! We had baguettes, they were huge and very reasonably priced! The staff were amazing with our two little ones! The use of outdoor space is brilliant with the current...situation as it is!More

Staying nearby and booked a table for the Friday night. Restaurant was quiet but we were eating early with our toddlers. Really welcoming and helpful waitresses and the food was good. Big portions and plenty of choice. Would come again.
