Was staying nearby on holiday. Have stayed previously in the village but never visited this pub. Had a couple of excellent lunches here. Sat by the fire which was cosy. Enjoyed listening to some of the local characters. Very enjoyable place to spend some time.

Visited once when staying in the village. My husband recommends a pint of Wizard! Recommend a visit if you are passing.

Stopped for lunch at Ashford in the Water before heading on to a walk around the countryside. Found the good reviews for Bulls Head, and decided to try. And we were not disappointed, on the opposite. The pub was warm and nice, with very friendly staff. We all opted for the burgers with stilton cheese, and they were cooked to... More

Had a lovely meal tonight. Friendly staff and quick service. Fab chilli and partners meal was chicken and leek, good suprise as not been in for decades. Not sure regarding the few rather paranoid reviews we are not in an American werewolf in London territory as far as I know. Excellent pint of Robinsons which I don't normally go for.... More

We decided to eat here as it was within walking distance of our B and B - we were not disappointed - I had the chicken, leek and Stilton pie and my husband had the Pride of the Peak sausages - which he said were the best he had ever tasted! The puddings were sublime - lemon posset a must... More

The Bulls Head is the place to visit very friendly which serves great food. The menu gave a wide choice and we was not dissapointed. If you are in Ashford-in-the-Water it deserves a visit.

We stopped here after visiting Monsal Head. We stayed for and had a drink and a panini, but having seen the menu, decided to return later for a meal. The bar staff we met were friendly and happy to chat. I went for the steak and the price was £14.95. This was about £3 cheaper than anywhere else we had... More
