Dear Trip Advisor Readers, Do please ignore any negative reviews posted (I am a tad particular shall I say.) Called in for a spot of lunch before shopping in the area. Greeted by a smiling waitress said there would be a short wait not a problem I do not do rushing when it is my day off work. Seated at... More

We arrived for what we thought was going to be a special afternoon tea. How disappointing it was. It comes with a small salmon tartlet and 3 miniscule 1/4 sized sandwiches (ham, salmon and egg mayonaise) ie 3 dinky pieces. My wife is a vegetarian and does not eat meat or fish and at first we were only offered the... More

We cycled here from Buxton - 15 miles of hills in the rain certainly prepared me for a fantastic breakfast and some super shopping in this great farm shop on the Chatsworth Estate. Not cheap, but the quality of the service and the produce make this a great special occasion breakfast - we earned it!

Cafe busy but only a 10 minute wait and the staff were so welcoming it seemed a pleasure not an inconvenience. Table spotless and beautiful views over fields towards chatsworth and beyond. Food freshly cooked with local vegetables. Carrots tasted amazing and sausages were tasty without being overpowered with seasoning. So good bought some in the shop afterwards. Lovely crumble... Visited after the farm shop and had a great breakfast. No issues with service and food was great. Views are stunning unfortunately it was a bit misty when we went but would imagine in summer it would be amazing.

Busy, brisk restaurant with a wide range of enticing offerings on the menu, wholesome food reasonably priced, beautifully presented and generously portioned and promptly served provided just about everything that I needed. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ploughman’s lunch and the stars within this delight were threefold – cheese, pork pie and Amazing scotch eggs. Washed down with tasty local beer.

I love going here for lunch, but you do have to arrive early to avoid standing in a queue. The view over the fields out towards the church is wonderful. The staff are always very friendly and the service is good. The food is in the style of good old fashioned home cooking, in generous portions and at a reasonable... More

Lovely location, friendly staff and delicious food. Bakewell pudding with custard in particular. The shop next door is well worth a visit too.
