Staying in Bakewell for a night so we decided to get a Indian. We got to the restaurant around 7pm and it was already half full and soon filled up once been in a while. We ordered our food and wine and the service was good, the starters arrived within 10mins and were very flavoursome after the starters probably a... More

Why have I marked it low? We were provided with a table for two, but you feel cramped as it's difficult to even fit the popadoms and pickle tray on it. We ordered a main course each and that was a nightmare to fit the food on. Rice is not fluffy Pilau Rice, I think it was more like brown... More

Very friendly staff & lovely curries. Popadoms for starters with a pickle tray of four sauces. Garlic Naan & boiled rice both very nice & a good accompaniment for the curries. Chicken Madras hot but not too fiery & vegetable options of Tarka Dal & Mutter Paneer were also highly rated. Overall very nice experience & as we are staying... More

Came in for a valentines meal on a weekend away with my partner after being recommended. The shared mixed meat and onion bhaji starter was amazing and so were the mains! I'd recommend the Murgh Makni (which my partner also kept eating)! The staff were very friendly and the restaurant is well presented and even has a fire. Would definitely... More

Having tried not her local establishment on several occasions decided to try Rajas. Mmmmunfortunatelyit was disappointing. I have never had pilau rice which was quite frankly brown rice. Nor have I had dopiaza which was nothing more that chicken in gravy (gravy being the most prominent flavour). Daughters tikka masala looked as it should but resembled chicken soup, very runny... The people in this restaurant are so friendly, which came across right from the point that I rang to book the table. There is a great selection of food, good wine list, and our food was delicious. And the service was excellent throughout. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Warm and welcoming, quality curry house. We have had curries from every corner of the UK, by far it was the best chicken pakora starter. Overall, enjoyable and tasty.

Booked at the last minute for a meal. The food was excellent and the staff extremely friendly. As far as I am aware it is the only Indian restaurant in Bakewell but well worth a visit. It was reasonably priced.
