Stayed at a hotel in Macworth and Bakewell was a village advised to visit whilst in Derby,so spent a few hours exploring before settling down for a tea and a tart. We both went for the traditional bakewell tart, and were not dissapointed, by far the best either myself or my partner had tasted. We took away a square each,... More

Recently visited the Bakewell Tart Shop for afternoon tea and was not disappointed. My partner and I opted for the jam & coconut tart with custard and it was beautiful. Upon leaving we also purchased a cherry Bakewell tart (family size) as an evening treat !! Would certainly recommend that you pay this place a visit if ever in Bakewell,... More

Went here for breakfast, and had one of their minced beef and veg party's. It was nice but not great. Wish I had a cake instead as they looked much nicer. It's a cute little shop and worth a visit if you're in the area.

Having came to Bakewell we decided to have a Bakewell tart. They were delicious however the woman that served us was so rude it ruined the experience for us. She clearly couldn't be bothered and had no manners at all!

A quaint cafe and bakery. The staff are very happy and friendly. It was very busy which was understandable as the cakes were huge and delicious. A good variety of flavors too. There are also pastries and beverages. We sat in at the table and had the traditional Bakewell pudding rather than the modern version, scrummy, with lovely tea and coffee.Just had... More

I visited this cafe as I had heard that Bakewell Tarts in Bakewell are better than the ones available elsewhere! The one I tried was very nice - however, I have since been advised that the Bakewell Pudding is the thing to try in Bakewell. I will have to go again! This is quite a small coffee shop - nonetheless... More
