We were drawn inside by the display of pies and tarts in the shop window (especially the "Derbyshire specialities" that seem unique to Bakewell - ha ha). A small number of tables and welcoming staff at the counter where you place your order from the...More

We visited here on Saturday 16th December. It was busy but we found a seat easily and the service was excellent. We both had the "special" mug of tea and Bakewell square for £3.75. Bakewell was delicious and the mug of tea was actually a...More

We had a cream tea here. It was quite crowded. Table was not cleared from people before and it needed wiping too as it was quite wet. Scones were very crumbly so needed to use the teaspoon to eat the scone. All in all place...More

We made a point of calling in this enticing tearoom on every occasion that we visited Bakewell. The coffee and cakes were so delicious, I was forced to buy a supply to take away with me.

Myself and my family recently visited this very cramped cafe at the back of the bakery. Firstly the small meals and drinks were fairly expensive but I'm a believer in "getting what you pay for". Except what I paid for can only be described as...More
