The Castle Inn is a traditional pub with a good range of beers and extensive menu at very reasonable prices. We ate here on 2 occasions and both meals were very enjoyable and well presented. Our waitress, Carolina, was both friendly and efficient and the manager was most helpful. An added bonus was the fact the Inn has a car... More

We had a great welcome when we arrived and from that moment until we left the landlord, John, could not have been more helpful. Breakfasts were varied and filled you for the day. We had two evening meals, both enjoyable. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and the inn is in an excellent location for Bakewell shops and walks.

We came out for a run out for the day and wanted somewhere to go for lunch. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The food was absolutely gorgeous all homecooked and piping hot. First time we've been here and we will definitely come again. We were served by Carolina today 27th April, and she was excellent really good customer... More

This place is like cheap pub to eat in. Husband wanted pie but they didn't have it so he had steak which was tough. I had salmon and roasted veg which was just ok.... asked if there was any tartare sauce...no, it didn't get delivered today! Won't rush back but great if you want to take your dogs!

Outdoor and indoor seating, full bar and what looked like fabulous food! We literally stopped here for a quick drink and to use the toilets before our journey home. The staff were friendly and helpful and everyone's food looked delicious. Toilets were clean and service was good.

Sooooo doggy friendly but there is also a carpeted restaurant if you wish to eat in a dog free area. Water bowls and dog treats are freely accessible. Carolina the waitress is quite crazy, attentive and an asset to the staffing team. The food was beautiful. We couldn't fault a thing except this pub is not our local.

Visited for lunch, the food was reasonable, decent portions, and well priced. The service was prompt and friendly. The very old grotty carpet needs replacing and the walls are in desperate need of a paint job. The man who took my order looked like he worn the same clothes for a month. Having said that, if you want good value pub... More
