I love this Pub, it is full of magical character, with a roaring fire and candles in wine bottles! The staff and locals are extremely friendly and very welcoming, The food is delicious, definitely worth a visit. You won't regret it :)

This is a small pub with a small bar, scrubbed down tables and a roaring fire, and eclectic decor, somewhat reminiscent of the "spit and sawdust" style. The welcome is very warm, the landlord expansive, and the food really good, by a top-notch chef. We were joined briefly by the resident small terrier, who sat at the table and listened... More

Great pub well worth eating there. I have been three times recently moved near by. This pub is quirky, welcoming and the service and food second to none. The Sunday lunch is fantastic after listening to the music is lovely to end your Sunday. The service is good and the bar chap is friendly . Really can't fault it.

This is a typical OLD Cornish local pub - it won't look that pretty compared to the Weatherspoons and 'designed' pubs old or young. Service was EXCELLENT and the food was AWSOME. - in a friendly way rather than a posh restaurant sort of way if that makes sense. A great menu - not too huge and not geared to... More

It has a touch of Fawlty Towers and can be chaotic but it is our favourite pub and the food is amazing. The landlord used to be a fisherman and the menu is fresh and very fishy. His... More

Chose to eat here based on the many positive reviews on Tripadvisor, and not knowing anywhere specific to eat in the area. We booked a table, and it was a good job we did as the tables were full when we visited. The pub isn't somewhere you'd happen upon by chance, and if you wandered in you may very well... More
