A group of us stopped here for lunch after a day out together, & considering there was 21 of us we were served pretty quickly for both food and drink. I would of liked to post a picture of the roast I had, but I ate it so quick I had no chance. The beef was rare, and very tasty.... More

Last minute booking and accommodated at a good table, near to the lovely open fire. Sadly, no crab...again. Third visit and each time the crab is off, despite the sign! Think more effort needs to be made in this dept. We ordered king prawns and scallops, a hefty round if fresh bread, it was lovely. A really nice pub and... More

Owner delivered very good customer service and not forgetting he is a funny man. I've called earlier to ask if kids are allowed and he did say my 3 year old was welcomed (only on one condition that he bought the owner a pint). MIL accidentally spilled wine and he offered another glass of wine(on the house) without hesitation. Not... More

A real old traditional pub with food to die for and the fresh crab is always a must. Nothing nicer than sitting by the fire when its cold outside with a pint and fresh crab. Fantastic.

This is a small pub with a small bar, scrubbed down tables and a roaring fire, and eclectic decor, somewhat reminiscent of the "spit and sawdust" style. The welcome is very warm, the landlord expansive, and the food really good, by a top-notch chef. We were joined briefly by the resident small terrier, who sat at the table and listened... More

Great pub well worth eating there. I have been three times recently moved near by. This pub is quirky, welcoming and the service and food second to none. The Sunday lunch is fantastic after listening to the music is lovely to end your Sunday. The service is good and the bar chap is friendly . Really can't fault it.

This is a typical OLD Cornish local pub - it won't look that pretty compared to the Weatherspoons and 'designed' pubs old or young. Service was EXCELLENT and the food was AWSOME. - in a friendly way rather than a posh restaurant sort of way if that makes sense. A great menu - not too huge and not geared to... More
