Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Like opening a Christmas present and finding exactly what you want and still more that you didn't know you wanted. If you haven't tried the Willow Tree, then do yourself a great favour and try it before the Christmas rush. Honestly, I can't recommend this...place more highly than I do.More

Discovered this gem last week and have already been back. Arrived both times just before 11, they were just wrapping up breakfast, but they couldn't have been more accommodating. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, generous and beautifully presented. It certainly gave no hint of being...the end of breakfast service. They use local ingredients and the quality is undeniable. Hats off to their chef. Coffee and hot chocolate also delicious. Attentive service and very well staffed with waitstaff who are always looking out if anyone needs something, which really makes a difference to the overall experience. The sandwich diplay cabinet also looks fantastic for a lunch trip. So all in all we will be making this place a regular haunt.More

This is such a lovely cafe, using local produce and making delicious food. We went for their first pizza evening and it did not disappoint at all. The pizzas were delicious and the staff were attentive and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place...for food, drinks and a great atmosphere anytime of day. The farm shop also stocks a great variety of local produce and other gift items.More

I met my friend for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The venue is spacious and very clean with indoor and outside seating. Staff were friendly and efficient. I enjoyed Cromer crab salad, followed by a fruit scone with jam and clotted cream. My friend had...sardines. The food was delicious.More

I feel a Prince among Beggars because of the way my wife and I have just been spoil. I am not new to the Willow Tree but they still manage to surprise me with their very high standards. Recently they have had all their table...managers and dinning room staff dressed in black giving you the feeling that you are truly in for an experience equal to a silver service restaurant. Lunch today was no exception! On the menu was "Cromer Crab" and the kitchen had managed to even serve the crab with finesse by serving it in its upper body shell keeping the meat and softer bits of the crab separate. The quality of todays lunch was just outstanding, even more so than on previous visits. Maybe not a Prince amongst Beggars because the guests at Willow Tree are all such nice people but certainly I felt spoilt as you can tell, I hope, from this review.More

Great place. Clean. Lovely atmosphere. Professional attentive staff. First time visit but won't be our last. Farm was cute too. Didn't visit the farms hope but maybe next time. Free parking and not far from car to cafe if you are a little unsteady on...your feet. You won't be disappointed. Prices in line with most cafes. Loved my coffee and cake and my daughter loved her peach tea.More

The first thing I have to say is that I am a regular at the Willow Tree and that should speak volumes. If you have been there as often as my wife and I surely you could find something to complain about. Yes, if they...accept riff raff like me then they have to look to their laurels. Honestly after many years I have had many, many scrumptious meals served and when they have tried new dishes out on me I have been nothing but delighted. I have no vested interest in giving a good report on every one involved in Willow Tree because in my view they are all great. Now comes the rub........please can we stop calling the table servers waitresses/waiters but refer to them as they are.....Table managers. Personally I would call each and everyone of them ......Silver Service Table ManagersMore

The Sunday roast here is exceptional. Quality meat and fresh vegetables in season, all perfectly cooked and served by friendly cheerful staff. A good selection of homemade deserts. The apple and rhubarb crumble was particularly delicious!

Returning to the restaurant for Sunday lunch where we have bee many times before was a mistake and a very disappointing Sunday lunch. Previous visits we have experienced as close to home cooked food that one could find. However on this occasion Sunday lunch was...very disappointing to say the least, I was on the point of sending it back to the kitchen. The offering at best was very mediocre canteen food, The lamb was fine and full of flavour served up on a cold plate with very soft roast potatoes accompanied by blanched parsnips (un edible) and similar large field carrots (just edible). All this served in a sea of warm glutinous dark brown liquid gravy (ah bisto). The yorkshire pudding was acceptable. The accompanying vegetable dish that came consisted of cauliflower in a watery cheese sauce and cabbage, The portion was that small that I asked the server if they had forgotten the other dish. I was told that this portion for two people. May I suggest that the owner and their chef review Sunday lunch presentation and cooking style as what I experienced was not acceptable. A complaint was lodged with the server. Would I return and recommend this establishment for Sunday lunch, definitely not. This was so different to the Sunday lunch that I experienced at the Crown at Hartest just up the road from Willow tree. I suggest that the Willow Tree owner and his che visit the Crown to experience what Sunday lunch should look and taste like.More
