I belong to a running group and a load of us set off from this pub, returning after our run. We received an amazing warm welcome (regardless of the fact we were all hot and sweaty)! They had even laid on some chilled water for...More

A twenty minutes walk across the fields for a pleasant meal in the outside seating area as we had our dog with us. Both had fish and chips, nicely cooked and a good portion size. Nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the...More

The pub is not what it once was. The beers on the boards were scarce and a bit on the deer side for real ale at £3.50 a pint Similarly, the food menu is a shadow of its former self. Gone are the huge delicious burgers...More

Lovely traditional country pub with huge camping ground attached. There's nothing smart or poncy about The White Horse. Bare floorboards, miss-matched tables and chairs a cheerful landlord Mick and friendly helpful staff make this place buzzing at weekends and busy weekdays too. Huge range of...More

We had an excellent meaty meal, washed down with some of the best kept beers I have tasted in ages! The staff were helpful and polite, all in all - a highly recommendable experience.

Sadly no disabled toilets (Grab rails) although accessible no good if your in a wheelchair. Surprisingly as they are on the beer festival map. Missed opportunity as disabled people do have disposable income

Spent five days in a cottage round the corner from this delightful pub and ate there many times. The range of beer and ales is amazing. The food is well cooked, delicious and plentiful. The beef burgers, chips, trimmings and a pint at £7.95 is...More

Superb beer, superb menu and cooked to perfection. Proper pub, not too flouncy and gastro, more old school pub run by people who know what they are doing.

Me and hubby decided to country pub instead of town fine dining for a evening out, and what can we say..... Can't praise this pub and staff enough. Fabulous steak and trimming dinner cooked to perfection. Great beers, ales and atmosphere. Best night out for...More

Called in with my son on a very blustery day. Welcoming fires and wholesome soup. Perfect. Must go back for a slower lazier meal ⭐️

Description
This traditional Suffolk pub is situated on the edge of Constable Country on a minor road in the small village of Edwardstone, Suffolk. We have featured in the 'Good Beer Guide' for getting on for 20 years, and also appear in the 'Good Pub Guide'. A winner of CAMRA's 'Pub of the Month', Silver Awarded for 'Green Tourism' for our Self Catering chalets, and well known for having the world's most eco-friendly micro-brewery on-site. The White Horse is also a haunt of real ale enthusiasts, walkers, cyclists, campers and those who enjoy seriously good food in a wonderful rustic environment.
