Been visiting this pub on a regular basis since moving to the area some two and a half years ago. Food is always cooked to a high standard with generous portions served. Staff are very friendly. It is a proper country pub with a traditional atmosphere and no frills however there is a large choice of Real Ales and Ciders... More

I stayed last weekend in one of the two little self contained log cabins at the White Horse. This was a treat for myself and my children from my mother who took us after she had visited and stayed a few years ago. Although we found the cabin to be comfortable enough we did feel that it was shabby, not... More

WE both enjoyed the sausages and mash which were served in a large Yorkshire pudding with plenty of tasty gravy.

This is a proper pub! Great choice of ales and ciders, excellent food and the landlord and landlady are lovely. We stayed a night in one of the cottages while some friends camped. We all thought the facilities were great.

Used to come to this pub often, on the way back from motorbike events and always went to Eddyfest. However, this place now thinks it is the God of All Things and at our last visit we were treated like dirt. Bar staff `deigned' to serve us beer but no food as we were `too late' - 7.30pm?? Really?? I... More

This is a lovely little village pub, with a nice atmosphere, especially on a summer's day and the traditional decor very comforting and warming. Service good, we did not have to wait too long for food, and good choice of beer. Food decent, nothing amazing but then if you are after Michelin quality food you would go elsewhere. We both... We had visited this lovely country pub a few times before but never eaten here, online the pictures of the food are fantastic and make you want to visit and try out the cuisine, but not so in real life!!!!! it was rare that we could get a table too with it being popular for food, apart for this one... I am quite torn in writing this review because based on my experience I would have given it 0 stars but my experience was ruined by the other people staying at the site and not really a reflection of the place itself. The pub itself has lots of character and has a good range of beers and ciders and the... More

Description
This traditional Suffolk pub is situated on the edge of Constable Country on a minor road in the small village of Edwardstone, Suffolk. We have featured in the 'Good Beer Guide' for getting on for 20 years, and also appear in the 'Good Pub Guide'. A winner of CAMRA's 'Pub of the Month', Silver Awarded for 'Green Tourism' for our Self Catering chalets, and well known for having the world's most eco-friendly micro-brewery on-site. The White Horse is also a haunt of real ale enthusiasts, walkers, cyclists, campers and those who enjoy seriously good food in a wonderful rustic environment.
