Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Brenda and Gerry at Rosdarrig House recommended that we eat here for either lunch or dinner. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, just before the changeover to dinner. They said they were fully booked, but we could eat at the bar if we came...back when they reopened. Luckily, when we came back, someone had cancelled and we got a table. This is a cozy, family run place, and the care taken is evident. Food was outstanding and plentiful, without being too much. Had a very enjoyable evening.More

Small and very busy little family run restaurant. They've cracked the code, simple food done really well. Huge portions and was even offered extra. Beautiful pint of Guinness. Warm friendly welcome and service. What more could you want? Oh I forgot, ridiculously good value.

After having breakfasts all over the province of Connacht , I can honestly say that the one at An Craobhin is just that little bit better than all the rest.

We’ve recently had dinner in An Craoibhin and lunch a few days later. It is also open for breakfast. . Overall, consistency is a winner and what is consistent is the quality of the food, the lovely ambiance of the gastro pub and the friendliness...of the owners and staff. Each day they have lovely blackboard specials for lunch and it is served fast, big, extremely tasty and nourishing. There is also a delicious dessert variety. During the winter months, a real fire burning in the fireplace adds to the cosiness. The presentation of the food is always superb and on the days they’re open for dinner, it has that extra little touch on the plating and presentation front to elevate the dining experience. The kitchen is superb and run by professionals which is obvious by what they present. It’s our go to restaurant in Boyle for a hearty meal, or a delicious dinner, and with a full bar and a lovely wine selection, you won’t be disappointed. Finally, great prices for all the food.More

Having just moved from Dublin to relocate to Cavetown Lake we were looking for a place to treat ourselves too dinner, An Craoibhin was recommended to me by a local publican who suggested 'you won't go wrong in An Craoighin' well I'm delighted to say...they were correct as the food was excellent and the service was with a smile and friendly atmosphere. An Craoighin has now become our place to treat ourselves and we have been back 3 times already and each time the food, service and value for money has been the same - excellent.More

Was recommended ..... and it lived up to the reputation ! Feels like you are sitting in someone's kitchen, small and cosy. Lots of locals eating here, can see why ! Simple menu choices - all at €12. Served quickly and piping hot. I opted...for the stroganoff .... it was absolutely delicious .... better than I would cook ! If I lived in Boyle, I would eat there all the time ! I'll be back !More

Had a really lovely dinner here at lunchtime, for only 12 euro for main course, decided to return for evening meal 2 days later As it was so tasty and plentifull, and only 5 euro for slow roast beef cigars to start and 15 euro...for main course, both were delicious. Don't know how they make much of a profit,as food is freshly made with good produce. Staff so welcoming and professional at the same time.More

Myself and my husband stopped here for a bite of lunch and can not fault the place, lovely simple menu, my husband opted for curry and I choose chicken and mushroom vol au vonts, the atmosphere was so nice we decided to stay for dessert..., there is no messing around, service was super quick which I imagine suited the many working people who came along, The staff were so friendly and never stopped between cleaning tables, taking orders and chatting to patrons. We will most definitely return and will recommend to others.More
