On a January Friday, this was probably one of the very few places in Clifden that was open for dinner. So it was extremely busy and noisy. The staff was running around and so were lots of children. I had the lamb shank, which was ok but it could have enjoyed some more time in the oven. When properly prepared,... More

Located at the Clifden Station House Hotel complex and very convenient to the downtown. Dinner was delicious both nights we ate there with great daily specials and plenty of fresh fish dishes. Also had a mid afternoon snack with tea and were well pleased with the soup and brown bread offered as well as many other small dishes.

We ate here as part of a package deal in the hotel. While the food was lovely, it was typical hotel food, maybe of a higher quality than most, it was the staff that really made our visit special. So friendly and accommodating. We were never rushed or felt to be a bother. Would definitely recommend it if you are... More

Quite perfect meal while staying in Clifden. They are casual and have a good menu. The pub has bar seating as well as several booths within the old waiting area of the train station. I like the nostalgic ads and photos of the train station. They have good beer choices besides the standard Irish draughts, they offer craft brewer Bridewell... More

As part of a touring coach group, my wife, myself & one other were the only vegetarians. Whilst having dinner, I asked a member of staff if there might be veggie sausages available for breakfast; turned out she was the manager (Anne-Marie), and she assured me there would be (she is also a veggie!). I had to ask the duty... More
