Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We are a family of 6 and had a beautiful meal on Thursday evening. Had no reservations, and yet they fitted us in . I'm so happy they did. All the meals we had were great, especially the potato skins. Staff are very friendly. Would...totally recommend this placeMore

Myself and my husband popped in at 5.30 last Saturday after reading reviews here. All the tables were marked reserved but we were still welcomed and accommodated. The place was immaculately clean. The menu gave great choice in my opinion. I got potato skins deep...fried to start... delicious, almost enough for a main course. Hubby got Leek and Potato soup with brown bread and loved it. He had beef stroganoff for mains and I had battered fish and chips. It was absolutely delicious. The staff were, helpful, polite, attentive and professional. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere as the place got busier. Well done and thank you.More

We stopped here for a light lunch after Derrynane Beach. I had chowder in mind but whilst on the menu there was none available sadly so we ordered 2 sneem sausage sandwiches (€6 each) and a ham and cheese toastie for the kids (€4.30) and...a jug of Miwadi for the table (€2). Overall, good food here, friendly and reasonable. Also great views and open seating area out the rear.More

We stopped at D O'Shea's as we hiked into Sneem on The Kerry Way. Wonderful Guinness! A great reward for a long day of hiking. We had spoken with a workman repairing a house along our hike. He had a cute dog and did some...fancy footwork to avoid getting entangled in his dog's leash. Anyway, he recommended D O'Shea's as the best place to get a Guinness in Sneem. So who were we to disagree? My husband retrieved the stouts and also made a reservation to return for dinner while I sat outside too tired to move. I was surprised when we returned (freshly showered and looking more presentable) at how nice it was inside, with good menu options, and we were very pleased with the seafood pie we chose. And another Guinness each, of course!More

O’Sheas never fails to impress, the service, food and atmosphere cannot be beaten. The renovation just completed added to the old world atmosphere it already had. You just have too come back again and again.

Delicious food with Irish ingredients, and a fantastic portion size! I couldn't bear to leave any of mine and was stuffed! Lovely rear terrace over looking the river with a cover for those rainy evenings. Dog friendly too, a great place!

We were driving the Ring of Kerry when we made an impromptu stop in Sneem. With good fortune, we decided to stop in for lunch, and we’re so glad we did. Good food and atmosphere makes this a great choice.

We had dinner here two nights during our stay in Sneem. Both meals were great. The menus is varied and I’m pretty sure you can find something for everyone. The menu includes some seafood (Sneem is on the coast) which we tried and loved. They...also have a good bar with a lot of beer & wine selections. While there are lots of pubs in Ireland that serve food, I’d consider this a restaurant first and a pub second.More

We were in the area touring, and a recommendation was made to us to try this restaurant, and we were glad we did. The waitress was friendly and helpful. She brought us a pitcher of water, and we were so thankful. My husband had the...tomato soul, and I had the seafood chowder. Both were served with brown bread, and both were delicious. We then shared an order of fish and chips. The cod was a very lovely fish, and even though it was fried, it wasn't too greasy. We both thought that the fish could have used more seasoning, and we were glad to have a tarter sauce with the fish rather than just mayonnaise.More
