Came here just as they were closing down from lunch. The food was so good. It really is just seafood. No chips which would have been nice along with the food, but the fresh seafood was incredible. One dish we had was a taster dish of different seafood. It was very good. A lovely spot to sit and have lunch... More

Found our way here randomly as we were driving. We stopped for lunch and it was excellent. The cappuccino was also excellent. Could not have had a nicer lunch and they were easily able to accommodate my Celiac wife with a gluten free meal.

During our three days touring the Ring of Kerry, we took a ferry from the mainland in Cahersiveen and Renard's Point out to Valentina Island. The trip out there was beautiful and off the beaten trail with cliffs almost as dramatic as those in Moher but without the buses and tourists. The ferry is a quick 5 minutes out but... More

I had the seafood sampler and thought I died and went to heaven! The smoked salmon for divine! I wish I could have spent more time in Cahersiveen just to eat here again!

Go for the seafood. This restaurant's bread and butter is serving whatever is caught fresh that day in the waters around Portmagee. Good ambiance, kitschy decor, this really feels like it is a product of its environment, and in this case, it's a great thing.

I found the food to be pub food but at gourmet prices and it certainly is not gourmet. Local folk had told me it was the best seafood around-believe me it is not. There is nothing majorly wrong with it just that it has pretensions of grander for basic fare. For instance a plate with about half a dozen hake... More

Call in on this bar by taken the Atlantic way in Kerry. This is were the ferry departs over to Valencia island at a cost of Seven euro and a five minute sea journey. Worth the visit also. Met the owner of the point who is an extremely friendly guy even to dubs!! Had the crab dish and a pint... More
