Having been here several times, and each time the friendliness of the staff, the exceptionally high quality of the food, the value for money has ensured return visits again and again.

I came in here before by speech and drama session in the town hall across the road and got a hot chocolate. It was so good. Definetly a 5 star!
We stopped here for lunch after reading TripAdvisor and were very impressed! All five meals were delivered quickly and were delicious, as well as the coffees and hot chocolates! We have been travelling for nearly 6 weeks and this was the best meal we have...experienced! Excellent customer service also!More
It was a tasty coffee I called in to pick up and keep moving. It was a very tasty coffee to pick up and the staff there are friendly A good price at €3.40 for a latte

So glad we found this little gem. The food was amazing, my Buddha bowl was so tasty and full of flavour and the other three in my party had a delicious chicken Caesar wrap and a bagel which they all loved. The staff were so...friendly and the coffee was great. I felt like I was in a Melbourne cafe!More
Thank you so much for your lovely review! It was a pleasure having you guys in. ❤️❤️❤️
Enjoyed the best salad ever; probably. Our food was delivered quicker than expected, but we all agreed every single bite of each of our choices was 100% delicious. Continued success to this great establishment with its friendly and efficient staff.
Had popped in last week with my daughter, just for a look. No more. Returned yesterday, our family of 3. The place was full & we were told a table would be ready in 5. It was. Ordered coffee, toasties x2 to let my daughter...share. The coffee arrived very promptly. Unfortunately the food ticket was misplaced. These things happen. Once the missing ticket was realised , everything was rectified very very quickly. The toasties were delicious, the staff were very good with my 2.5 year old & Alan even offered to discount my bill due to the lost ticket. I refused as it was simply one of these things that can happen. If you haven’t been already , go. 23 seats is a wonderful place & I will most definitely be back. Thanks Alan & wonderful team Stuart & family 👍🏴More
I often go here in the afternoon for a coffee to get me through the final hours in work. It has some of the best coffee in Dundalk, and the staff are always very friendly. I haven't ate here but there is always people in...getting food too which is a good sign.More
Gerry Grimes I was in 23 Seats last Saturday with my wife, had a beautiful toastie and coffee, but when I got home (Dublin) I realised I'd left my hat in the cafe. Alan got my message and posted my favourite hat back to me...- I had it back in a few days. A lot of folk talk about customer service, 23 Seats know how to do it - thanks guys ✌😁More
It was a cool, dry 5c this morning in this Irish border town. It was St Patrick’s day eve. We were in the town’s ‘legal quarter’ near their courts where people receive the law rather than ‘justice’. The two are rarely seen together and when...they are often it’s unintended. Unlike my Yelp friend Grey, who seems rarely to slow or stop, I arose early reluctantly on this morning, as I normally only do so to go on holiday, but I had agreed to assist someone negotiate a complex matter that once done with the dotted line signed (it was a dotted line) a human life saw a familiar world change utterly completely in a few seconds and I believe very likely for the better. We’ll see. As we left the official task which took a whole 25 minutes we enquired about good coffee from our host, who pointed us to 23 Seats just a short walk away from our Roden place venue. We were assured it was wonderful. It was. The wall sign above the door reads 23 eats until you get close enough to see the S wedged into the front wall. They’ve done well if they have 23 seats. I doubt they could host 23 folks simultaneously. I didn’t count them but it sure is a compact and bijou coffee place. It’s within Dundalk town centre, with character and a soul; quirky music tastes, environmentally focussed, and vegans cheerfully catered for oh and I smile to confirm its pet friendly too. We only needed good coffee and that’s what we got: we opted for one cappuccino and one flat white - €6 for both. We paid up front by card so we could just go when we were done. We had a table near the rear entrance and, as they were receiving a delivery, it wasn’t pleasant as a chilly damp breeze came through the door left open. This is one of those places that are now rare to me as I really want to go back to explore their food selections as it’s not a typical coffee stop - they think about the environment and they focus on meeting diverse customer needs. So five green stars. I’m not a vegan but if the ingredients are to my taste I couldn’t care less about the label. Who wants chemical filled food of food coloured by derivatives from the crude oil and petroleum industry; I’d rather not. The staff too were charming despite the huge pressures small independent businesses and poorer families must faces for at least the next five years. We in the West are in a war economy between Wu flu and a white supremacist luna tic admired maybe emboldened by a (now thankfully) former US president; an autocrat with unfettered power, who has accumulated personal wealth and with his mongrel side-kick seems to think they can control 45 million people against their will with in human force. I do not wish him well.More
Found this by chance when looking for somewhere for coffee . Menu was so tempting that we had lunch - the vegan goodness wrap was so delicious, one of the best I have ever eaten. My partner had the croque monsieur and also enjoyed this....Full of flavour and nicely served. Very reasonable prices too.More
Popped into this colourful cafe for lunch after having been recommended by a friend and was extremely impressed. The menu is the perfect size, serving breakfast and lunch, with something for everyone AND they always have a daily vegan special and soup on. I had...the crunchy falafel wrap and it was tasty and full of flavour! I also ordered a delicious oat flat white and availed of their outdoor seating as it was a sunny day. The atmosphere was buzzy, the music was edgy (not your usual pop chart stuff) and the staff were friendly and helpful! Will be returning with my puppy in tow, as this place is dog-friendly, and can’t wait to see what seasonal specials are on that day! 10/10, worth a visit if you are in Dundalk!More
The food here was excellent and the coffee was good too, Staff were friendly Ordered the chicken quesclidas, came with crisps and salad on the side, it was a very tasty dish would recommend as a lunch option and decent size too
Really good selection of gluten free options both sweet and savoury. I had a GF vegetarian pizza and chocolate muffin!! So so good! Highly recommend it! Will definitely be visiting again :)
