We stopped in Monks for a late lunch and found it very pleasant. Staff were young and pleasant but they did not have that extra caring attitude we appreciate. The food was good and being able to view the water was nice. Others leaving the...More

We hadn't booked and they were busy, but immediately found space for us. Service was friendly and unobtrusive but exceptional; a waiter immediately noticed that we hadn't started eating and needed something, coming over straightaway. Lovely fresh food, simply and well done. Recommended.

I just love their crab sandwich ... especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside on the terrace looking at the sea. Good quality food and affordable prices.

A great place to eat. Overlooking the harbour, the locally caught fish couldn't be fresher. The chowder was so good (and amazing wheaten bread) I returned the following night to try their mussels - equally good! The staff were friendly and efficient - nothing too...More

I believe it closed at end of 2015. Local rumour suggests that a new owner is opening for a short time from August, then closing again for renovations. Linnane's in New Quay is a great place. Walk the Flaggy shore then a... More
