lovely place to eat looking out at the Atlantic, food delicious but does not represent value for money we had fish and chips and the portions were generous but at 17.95 pricey this would have been 5 euro less in most other places we have similar the staff were attentive and on their game but two other couples that seated... Arrived on Sunday lunch with no reservation. Staff we very warm and welcoming. Excellent menu with a strong bias on using local small producers. Both mains and starters were excellent and well presented. We very much enjoyed our food and would return.

Sat by the window, but the view wasn't all that great. Husband ordered fish and chips which looked good but were average tasting. I had the pate. It came with one tiny piece of toast so I asked fro some brown bread. The pate was band and disappointing.

Went here on a ' will suit everyone' kinda thing but probably should have thought a little more about it. First of all I found it it expensive. Secondly, the very poor vegetarian selection is reduced immediately when they don't have half the items in stock. When the cod came out (it was delicious) every second chip was raw. When... More

The last time I ate at McMunns i was a bit down beat leaving. It's been a while but we met up with some friends recently and decided upon McMunns. My experience this time round was significantly improved. Food was exceptional. Ambience was a delight. We had an extrmely pleasant satisfying occassion. As I was the designated driver I ordered... Waitress acted like we were an imposition. Our 7pm dinner sitting meant we were the only ones there when we arrived. It took ages for her to take our order and then it took over an hour for our food to arrive. We were famished by the time our food arrived. It would have been nice to have been offered... More

Whenever I visit Ireland, I'm reminded of the quality of the beef, lamb and seafood. Great seafood chowder too. that and a Guiness and Im a happy guy. McMunns excels in each of these departments, with typical Irish hospitality and a classic ambiance.

We recently paid McMunns a visit on a Ladies Golfing Weekend! Six of us dined here and all had a fabulous meal and wine! Our only complaint was the crab salad was a little light on crab! Staff were very good and a great buzz and atmosphere in the place! We'll be back!

We can as soon as they opened for an early dinner at 6 pm. Seafood chowder was very full of lots different seafood and well worth it. The broth was thinner then I'm used to but delicious. Had the mussels for the main course with mashed potatoes, mixed veggies and brown bread. I would come back again. It was a... More

Dinner was a 5 star meal prepared by Chef Greg! The pork bellies were to die for! Greg and staff were professional, yet very welcoming and friendly. We had a delightful time talking golf and other sports (we learned all about hurlers) and meeting some fabulous people. Many thanks to Greg and Paudie for a wonderful evening!
