Just what the Dr ordered on a cold wet night. A lovely restaurant and the food was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.

they are spot on. I'm a self acclaimed restaurant snob. There's that mix of environment, service, food quality, food presentation, and vibe that have to be at a certain level to be assigned a ***** and The Poachers Inn earns it. One really can't say...More

Called for my first time for a brunch, it was excellent and the staff were so pleasant especially such a warm welcome from the foreign Lady who really made me feel at home. They have a well priced and varied menu. A must visit when...More

Excellent food choices, although don't make the mistake of seafood chowder followed by seafood pie, as you may need to be carried out on a pallet truck. I love the fish and chips, but hake or steak are excellent choices. Always a family favourite and...More

Stopped off there en route to Clonakilty - we went for the early bird menu (which has a nice varied menu) We opted for a sea food pie and seafood linguine (there was much sharing and swapping) as both dishes were superb. Finished off with...More

Fish and Chips are an exceptional choice on the menu, lovely white haddock with no bones and skin removed and not watery either topped with homemade chunky chips and salad really couldn't fault this dish. My wife went for the seafood pie which again was...More

Stopped for lunch, great service, nice atmosphere, the hake was generous, fresh with potato cubes in a slightly spicy sauce. The mussels were also generous and fresh. Desserts were spectacular, the panna cotta was beautifully presented. Prices were upscale but worth it, esp for lunch.

It was very busy but we were seated promptly and served without delay. There was a good choice, especially if you like seafood. The main courses were delicious and desserts were good also.

I had lunch and thought that it was good value for what I got. My husband had hake and chowder for 24 euro and I had 3 courses for 29 euro. The portions were great and the food was delicious
