We ate there last night. The food was delicious (potted lobster and crab, mussels, hake with barley risotto, chocolate pot with Bailey's and apple and blackberry crumble). All reasonably priced, friendly staff. Highly recommend it.

Great food. Seafood specials. Duck and pork belly a hit with my guests. Going upstairs first for a pre dinner drink (and a gin menu) makes the evening more than just out for a meal. Decor in the restaurant below a little 90s modernist, perhaps...More

Visited The Cove during a recent trip to Dunfanaghy. Absolutely fabulous meal and overall wonderful dining experience. Attention to detail and work ethic of management and staff superb but subtle. Ambience excellent and menu choice extensive. Highly highly recommended.

Accommodating staff and an excellent meal, served well to a large party. The cougette flowers in batter very nice, but have tasted better. Delicious local fish.

I've visited the Cove a number of times & never leave disappointed, particularly noteworthy is the pork belly & the hake, not to mention the apple pie. The Pork belly falls apart wonderfully and is topped with red cabbage and a delicious asian style sauce....More

I ate here a few years back and had pribably the best steak I'd tasted. We ate here again this week. The food here is just so lovely. I saw another reviewer had used the word "sublime" which was also going to be my choice....More

It's an intimate space over two floors so it's difficult to say possibly 30-40? But they will be happy to advise I am sure!

Bistro-style restaurant in an amazing location overlooking Hornhead, Sheephaven Bay (our holding tank for Crab and Lobster!) and the distant hills and fields which provide the best quality, fresh produce for your enjoyment.

Elegant relaxed surroundings, attentive unobtrusive service, and attention to detail are our hallmarks.
