Went here with my partner as a group of around 12 people. The staff were friendly and we were seated on a long table in the extension. Food choice is varied and we were all happy with what we picked. Drinks are reasonably priced as is the food. Have eaten here on many occasions and as yet to experience a... More

Came in for lunch whilst on a walk with my Dad. Good food and decent service when the pub was very busy. I'd be happy to come back.

We stopped here for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Not wanting anything heavy we opted for a half sandwich and soup. We both had the beef and onion relish with tomato soup which were excellent. A lovely interior, very old beamed ceilings and roaring fires were very comforting on a cold day. I tried two of the local... More

I was looking for somewhere to have a great meal and a good gossip with friends and came across this great restaurant. The pub it is attached to is a great country pub with plenty of parking. The restaurant is located at the back / side of the pub and the choice of menu is varied with lots of local... More

I joined friends for lunch on a Monday and was surprised how quickly it filled up. A good sign. The menu is extensive with something for everyone from sandwiches to full dinners. The... More

Excellent Sunday roasts and great customer service! Had to wait a while for our food but the experience was saved by the management and we were extremely well compensated for the inconvenience. We look forward to our next visit.

Our favourite local top dining choice is the Cowshed, there is simply no competition on the Wirral. The ambience is outstanding, as is the service. The food is fresh, local and simply the best. The changing market menu brings different choices to the established dining menu. We have never had a meal here that disappointed. The best part of the... More
