My daughters and I pulled into Kallista Tea Rooms for brunch on a weekday recently, drawn in by the design of the place. It was interesting to read about the history of this place and watch the birdlife in the tree branches through the expanse...More

A warm hearted and welcoming place to have your winter morning breakfast on the weekend. Interesting and variable menu; coffee and tea drinkers will be happy with the service of both drinks. Locals and visitors are equally welcome.

That about sums it up. We went for afternoon tea at 3pm on a Tuesday and had the place to ourselves. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. I felt the strawberry jam could have been thicker and a larger portion would have been appropriate for the...More

Awesome place to visit and the coffees and eats were perfect. The lovely kiwi lady who served us was full of interesting stories about the history of the place. A bonus was discovering an echidna in the garden

Can get a bit busy but that's because the food is awesome. Eat here regularly and have never had a bad experience. In Winter they have the best soups, and their breakfasts are awesome too.

Due to overseas and interstate travel, we hadn't been here for 3 months ... and they still remembered our coffee orders.

We popped in for a coffee and a treat. The muffin and brownies were amazing and the hipster waiter a real cool dude! Highly recommend!

Bit silly really. Unawares it was on the kids menu. Was not allowed to order the nachos. Happy to pay. Defies logic and good business. Not a deal breaker, but they missed out on a $10 order???? Did not order any other food.

Had early morn Devonshire tea couple of weeks ago on a Sun. Scones were tasteless and crumbly. Home made strawberry and mixed jam looked really dark and had the same mediocre taste. Serves of jam were small, had to ask for more. Tea was ok...More
