Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely food and gorgeous views across Loch Ewe. Great banter with the proprietor. I would recommend you all to stop off and enjoy this wee gem before hitting Gairloch.

Always lovely food, it never disappoints I have the egg and bacon sandwich. This is homemade bread, with 4 rashers and two fried eggs. It has to be eaten with a knife and fork. There are other things on the menu I’d like to try....However this sandwich is so good, that if I choose something else, it will have big shoes to fill. It’s not a risk I’m prepared to take I am braver regarding my hot beverage choices, and try to mix it up a little. This week I had a latte, and it was delicious Oran na Mara is usually busy and I would recommend booking in advance. If you wish to use the toilet facilities, you’ll need to ask the man behind the counter for the door codeMore

Stopped for lunch. Very popular but small café with an amazing view - best to phone ahead for table if you know your are going. Menu had some Gluten free options such as toasties.

Owners couldn’t have been more kind- we were cycling the North Coast 500 and arrived for lunch on a Sunday without realising it was Sunday lunch by booking only. Despite managing booked guests, they made us coffee and sausage sandwiches (plus dessert…) as we were...way through a 90-mile day and really not able to go anywhere else. Lovely people.More

Hi James, glad to see you made it up those big hills😆 Yes unfortunate that it was Sunday when you called, but a pleasure to help you out. You are a credit to the cycling community so polite and humble. Hope you pass this way...More

What a great find that we went back a second time. Excellent views over Loch Ewe with the most amazing bird feeders that attracted a great variety of birds. From sparrows to robins, siskins, gold finches, great tits and song thrushes amongst many others. (apologies...to the bird varieties not mentioned) The food was excellent and the owner, Andy, was very friendly and would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone who's passing.More

We had a great lunch here with brilliant soup, cheese scones and coronation chicken rolls. It is a small cafe which I can see could not easily accommodate large groups in one sitting. So checking ahead seems sensible. That said, we were 4 people with...no booking and were made very welcome indeed. The owner was knowledgeable about wildlife and was very helpful.More

Bizarre. Dropped in to see if we could have a.coffee. Turned away because we didn't have a booking. Given the clear impression that we were being unreasonable expecting to be served a drink without phoning ahead. You might be lucky and get a pleasant reception...but probably more sensible to look for somewhere else.More
