Whenever we have visitors on the Kapiti Coast the Waimea is first choice as our go to place. Service is always friendly and helpful. Food is reliably good. And if you feel like a walk on the seashore its on your doorstep.

Staff welcomed us on arrival and we had an upstairs table (and would have had a view if it was daylight but we were there at 6.30pm in winter!) The wait staff were helpful and food and wine arrived promptly. Food was very good
