I have driven past this pub hundreds of time over the years. But stopped off after a walk in the area, proper old pub with large choice of beers and cider. Food was great, go for the pies..awesome.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch at The Tanners Arms. Just called in there on the off chance for a table for 2 people. The service was really good, starters and main meals delicious, hot and more than enough, no room for pudding, unfortunately! Nothing was too much trouble, extra gravy offered and could take as long as you wanted to... More

Stayed in the cottage next to the pub which was lovely and clean. The pub its self was very traditional and welcoming. Had both lunch and our evening meal at the pub which were both surpurb. All the food on the menu sounded so lovely that it took me a while to decide what I wanted. Staff were very friendly.

Recommended by the people we stayed with and glad we went - twice. Best selection of soft drinks we have ever seen in a pub. And the alcohol is pretty smashing too. The food is absolutely divine - Friday night: steak & ale pie (homemade) & grilled sea bass, portions were more than sufficient, Couldn't manage pudding so went back... More

What wonderful Welsh hospitality with delicious food. I had lamb steaks of which there were 3 and far too much for me so passed one to my husband despite him having greatly enjoyed the pulled pork with Hickory sauce. The steaks were beautifully cooked being moist & tender. The staff were so friendly & on asking about their selection of... More

Really lovely hosts, great location and even better selection of real ales and cask ciders, I can highly recommend their Sunday lunch. Great asset to their community with various beer and cider festivals throughout the year. :D

We have visited and eaten here 3 times now and every time we have all had great food and a lovely welcome. A great pub with a good choice of ales on every time and everything we have had off the menu was fantastic. They are also brilliant with any dietary issues. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

A lovely stone village pub with much character which also provides B&B rooms. A good selection of 'real ales' and an interesting menu. All the food is home cooked and much of the produce is sourced locally. Just the place to start or finish a hard walk on the Brecon Beacons. The food is filling and well presented.

I think the title sums it up. Welcoming land lady. Nice atmosphere and the food while not amazing was quite OK. We would go there again.
