Honestly the best roast I have ever had in a pub and I have had many! Pork belly was delicious and crackling was perfect. Puds equally as delicious. It is the second year in a row we have visited when holidaying and we will definitely...be back.More

We are so lucky to have this little gem in our village. Last night we visited for a family birthday after pretty much isolating for well over a year. Everything was great. Menu is a brilliant balance of classic and exciting. Our meals ranged from...fish & chips (the lightest batter, beautiful flaky cod, chips that were declared by my mum to be the best she’d ever tasted), to a stunning green thai seafood curry with cod cheek, squid in tempura batter, king prawns - a total triumph to roasted jackfruit tahini samosas with romesco cauliflower, cauliflower rice and a laksa sauce which was the best vegan dish I’ve ever had. Thanks Paul & Liz & team. Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere and brilliant service. There was a group of young guys on the table next to us who kept taking photos of their food!More

Family meal out whilst staying at Ruda caravan park in Croyde. The food was delicious, we had a selection of starters, the carrot and ginger soup was the best I’ve ever had. Main courses included steak and halloumi burger but we all agreed that the...calamari, monkfish and prawn curry was out of this world.More

We were excited to have dinner here following the Sunday lunch reviews, but to be honest it was pretty average. Lamb was really nice, beef was ok, nice to have veg served separately but the potatoes were awfully hard and all of us struggled to...even cut into them !More

We finished our holiday with a meal here on Friday night. All 12 of us had a great meal, no complaints; the drink selection is good and the atmosphere bustling. Nothing was too much for the staff. Very accommodating. The Thai Fish Curry was the...best I've had in a restaurant outside the Far East. Wish we'd found this at the beginning of our holiday. Would definitely have gone back!More

We visited for Sunday lunch and it was gorgeous! We had roast beef and roast lamb. Both were cooked very well but the vegetables were excellent. What a choice, two types of cabbage, carrots, swede, roast parsnips and potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower in a cheese...sauce and plenty of gravy. The cheese sauce was a bit watery but overall the meal was delicious. After building an appetite walking for a few hours, this was just perfectMore

A clearly loved local with a lively atmosphere and brilliant food. We opted for the 'Something Different' menu and can highly recommend the Asian Seafood Curry and the Seabass with Nduja sauce - two fantastic dishes so many thanks to the Chef! Very friendly service...and a nice setting - will be sure to return!More
