This is not a restaurant for everyone. If you are looking for an “ok” experience, forget it. The quality is top, starting from the olive oil, the bruschetta, even the bread is in house made; the staff is professional, attentive, discreet. It is not cheap, as it shouldn’t be since the products are only the best. Amazing experience, will return and highly recommend.

I return to Angolo' Abruzzo after about ten years with a friend on a rainy Sunday in April. The great Centofanti welcomed me (and recognized me!!). The environment is intimate, welcoming, the "mise en place" impeccable. After a little chat with the owner, remembering times gone by, when we went with friends who are no longer here, we order: appetizer of Abruzzo cured meats (spicy salami, loin, salami and ham) with fresh ricotta, all accompanied by a tray of bread different invoice. Everything excellent. Then, having skipped the first course, my friend gets the suckling pig with potatoes and I get the legendary "pecora garlic cutturu" with chicory. Both absolutely delicious. We wash it all down with a Montepolciano Caselli "Gran Reserve", a deep and meditative red with a very honest mark-up. We close with two bitters from Abruzzo. Quick and impeccable service. Very honest account for the quality offered. Five well-deserved stars!!!

We ate quite well although in my opinion a little expensive, prices a bit per tini. An appetizer, which consisted of two slices of ham cut with a knife, €17 seems excessive to me. Lamb €27 decent but I also tried better Lambs. But the thing that made me feel very bad was that we absolutely did not take and did not want sweets, so we asked for a simple coffee and they brought us small pastries, mignon, 6 little pieces, not requested, and we thought they were included in the coffee , also because no one had asked for them, we said we didn't want any desserts. I tried two only because it seemed bad to make them go back, so we didn't even eat them all, at the time of the bill which as always they never let you check, I only realized once I left the place that they put me a coffee and the small pastry I didn't request €9 for a coffee and six microscopic dried mignon of dry pastries, at this point it seems right to me that if you offer the pastry to a customer, as many many many restaurants do, it's not right that you make them pay in a disproportionate manner. I think they do it on purpose. I didn't like this behavior. Furthermore, if I had known that I was paying for them, I would have brought them home, I would have kindly asked for a small bag and I would have brought them back. So very much This joke is dishonest. I didn't like it at all, and I won't go back again. So be careful if you don't want dessert, check your bill carefully.

It was a long time since we returned to the corner of Abbruzzo. Unfortunately, we were anchored in good memories... all unfortunately faded today. The menu (indicated as.daily) did not mention allergens or frozen products. So we went on trust considering everything fresh... including porcini mushrooms (unknown origin) that made their appearance on two bruschetta taken as an appetizer (along with two other bruschetta with truffle / scorzone?). Another starter consisting of cold cuts that for honesty I must say good Then ,... after a long wait came first my request, a sausage and a grilled capocollo steak while the three first ordered arrived after I had finished my meal... the side dish I requested and 'arrived after "reminders" in a bowl containing baked potatoes. Sweet and coffee... wine (of the "simple Trebbiano di Abbruzzo sold at € 25 per bottle) water and covered... final bill .. € 240 for 4 people. I want to emphasize that the first were ravioli with tomato sauce, fettuccine with meat sauce and delle.pappardelle with white sheep sauce... therefore ingredients so to speak "simple" We will continue to remember the old corner of Abbruzzo and I do not think there will be other opportunities to try again.

We booked after reading the reviews! But when we sat down we saw the very high prices! In the starter there was mixed bruschetta with truffles, porcini mushrooms and another ingredient that I don't remember, 14 euros! I thought they were three slices of bruschetta but having taken a truffle bruschetta I was charged 14 euros. I asked for explanations and was told that it was a slice of your choice (14 euros for a slice of bread with truffle sauce, pure madness) ! Pork neck too overcooked 15 euros! Prices too high for not too sophisticated food. Unprofessional staff for this episode: my friend communicates an allergy to a food, the waiter reports it to the owner who asks who made this request and my friend heard "those four over there", an inappropriate way of speaking! I don't recommend it for quality/price!

Sympathy and friendliness are at home... but behind this facade lies a meaningless astronomical bill. You are happy to be recommended a starter of cured meats and omelette, a tagliolini with wild spinach and a mixed roast, you don't feel the surprise of a bill of €200 per person. Sincerely bye bye never again

Couple plus child of three years. My husband and I will only take the second. We ask for a slice for the baby, a simple thing, on the bill we find ourselves 30 euros of fillet (only for the child) I also find in the bill 5 euros for gluten-free bread that I did not ask... but I was offered when I said that I was celiac .. the boy said... meanwhile I bring her the bread... I assumed that it was included in the 10.50 euros covered .. very incorrect But then very slow... the room half empty for the bill we waited twenty minutes. Also for the sweet very long wait... arrives without a teaspoon... another 5 minutes for the teaspoon ..

Location definitely fulfilling, food up to 'the place but prices far too high. Paying a bruschetta, 2 slices of bread, with mushroom cream and truffle, 14 € seems exaggerated, specific that they were creams and not real truffles! They then have a truffle menu, unapproachable, where a pan-fried egg with truffle costs only 50€. Wine, Montepulciano, served by the glass, I dare not know the price... covered 3.50€. A grilled porcini only 32€, a lamb 27€. In short, nice place, certainly effective, but also the bill is no less.

I gave two stars only for the really disproportionate value for money taking into account the location and the reality of Carsoli that sees many restaurants where you eat just as well spending almost half. The Menu is varied and today 9/11/24 there was also the possibility to choose one dedicated to white truffles, and I do not dare to syndicate those prices but those of the traditional menu that I think really disproportionate. The food was good, nothing to say, great lamb and delicious 500g steaks, although over two ounces were fat. A small note on the choice of wine, which I assure you is of quality and very prestigious, in fact the wine list was a small encyclopedia where most of them cost an arm's length, or several hundred € some even over 1000 € ... I would have put even more popular wine, also because the place, well cared for and clean is still a rustic restaurant and not luxury. Staff nothing to object. Good and friendly.

Simply one of the best restaurants in central Italy. The experience of the owner, the quality of the raw materials such as mushrooms, truffles and meat, the hospitality and professionalism of the waiters, the immense cellar (and for me, as a sommelier, an essential value) make this restaurant a real temple of food and wine. It's difficult to find a restaurant like this within a radius of many kilometers that can summarize all this. I attach some images with the hope that you can live this experience. NB: the scamorza in question was half a portion as it was divided into 2 dishes.

The place is nice, and the food is good, but the prices are totally disproportionate. I find it inconsiderate to pay 15 euros for a normal second course, such as two grilled sausages, or 27 euros for lamb and it is not a restaurant worth these prices. Sin. Then paying 17 euros for a very banal plate of mixed cured meats, no.

Historical restaurant offers dishes of Abruzzo cuisine with raw materials of undisputed quality. Notable pasta with olaci and grilled castrato. Casual restaurant suitable for all occasions. Honestly the only flaw concerns the bill which is slightly above average compared to restaurants of equal standing.

50 euros per person for a plate of roast mushrooms full of worms (I think at 23 euros), tagliatelle with black summer truffle cheap (I think at 18 euros), water bread and blanket (I think 9 euros). The Corner I knew and appreciated in the family is no longer there. Take Recommendation: Sell!

It's been many years since I came back to this place... what a disappointment! Cuisine inattentive in carrying out orders both compared to what is indicated in the menu and in the timing of presentation of the dishes. Insufficient table service for the number of patrons. Exotic price not justifiable in any respect. Think about it.

We tried the restaurant by chance for lunch on a trip from Rome to Ascoli, as it was very convenient on the A24 route which connects the two shores of Italy. We ordered a plate of chitarrine with mushrooms and one with orapi and bacon. Orapi are mountain spinach, they grow in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park even above 2,000 meters above sea level and have given a unique flavor to the dish. The other first course with mushrooms was also amazing. My wife and I don't eat much, and the large portions had already filled us up. However, driven by the good impression of the first courses, by gluttony and curiosity, we asked for some grilled porcini mushrooms to share together, and we were amazed: we had never eaten so good and digestible. My family comes from a rural area in the Marche and my grandparents had accustomed me to such good and genuine flavors, which I had never found again. This place took me back to my childhood, a leap to flavors from 40 years ago that have now disappeared... Next time I'll have to taste the sheep, another strong dish I grew up with. Well done and keep going!!!
