My wife and I visited for a Saturday lunch. I had Haddock fillet with home-cut chips and my wife had a pasta dish from the Specials menu. For desserts, I had affogato and my wife had Bakewell Tart. Th food was delicious, the staff were attentive and friendly with swift service, though to be fair, we did arrive quite early... More

We stopped for a light lunch en route South,we had looked on line for eateries off the M 40 and this was the most convenient. It was a delightful surprise, the decor was modern light fresh and very comfortable, the toilets spotlessly clean as was all of the interior. The food we had was delicious,my homemade soup rich and creamy,my husbands baguette with chips... We visited here recently, the pub was warm and welcoming, friendly staff where nothing was too much trouble for them. The pub has gone through a recent refurb which looks fantastic. We ordered Sunday roasts and they were the best we've had in the area! I had the stuffed belly of pork and it was beautiful. We've already booked for... More

Was taken to the Granville for my birthday, the whole family were there young and old. We were booked in to the pub up the road Joseph Arch but to our dismay they never had disabled access just steps up the front. The whole of the pub was very accessible which is a must for my parents who are not... More

Went there between Christmas and new year for a family lunch. The menu sounded good with lots of choices. Instead of being welcomed when we walked in we got stared at as we went through to a table in the restaurant through to the back. We waited a while as it was a bit busy and then eventually ordered with... More

I visited The Granville on a wet and windy December evening. Walking in I was welcomed by a nice log fire. Decent range of beer too to cheer me up. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I ordered one of the goats cheese pizzas. It did not take long to arrive, as there were only a couple of people eating.... More

My visit to The Granville was possibly the worst restaurant experience I've had. The food took well over an hour to arrive and when it finally did, it was very disappointing. There is lots more that could be said about a kitchen that has clearly overreached itself and expensive prices that do not provide value for money BUT good service... More

This pub has some of the worst service I've ever received. The food took 2 hours to arrive, and after we asked what was going on the owner (Richard) repeatedly said it was on its way. Not one apology was received, the owner repeatedly swore at us and told us he enjoys serving dissatisfied customers. He also clarified that he... More

The staff were helpful and friendly but oh dear the food was very slow to come out of the kitchen even though the place was only partially occupied. My wife's starter was too dry to eat, sent back to the kitchen who added a little sauce and some dried onions, we sent it back and reordered a different dish. We... More
