Stayed on the island recently for a week and ate here twice and got a carryout also. Scallops and fish platter were fantastic as was the venison casserole - a must try if you are visiting the area.

We went here on our first trip to Harris. I was excited by the amount of fishing boats on the pier, taking this as a good sign of the freshness. The menu was varied and included a comprehensive list of specials, reflecting the catch. I...More

Friendly bar and great restaurant, excellent seafood and lovely place to watch the sunset. Also one of the few places where our family dog was welcomed.

Had Dinner at the Anchorage Restaurant in July. This restaurant is the only game in town, so they do have that going for them. The service we received was not good and the food was just OK. They seemed overwhelmed the evening we were there...More

Food was really good quite a wait for it , staff seemed to be under pressure rushing about very polite but not a relaxing experience ,maybe more attention to customer service and this could be an excellent holiday stop for a meal

We booked a table by telephone the previous evening but I wasn't surprised they hadn't record of it; the person I spoke to on the telephone was not able to understand the most straightforward of names so I feared he wouldn't have written anything down....More

Yes, The Rodel closed suddenly a few weeks ago. Serious family illness among the owners is the cause. I understand that it is now up for sale.
